CambroClear Camwear Colander for Half Size Food Pans

I've never used these products in a commercial kitchen, as they are intended to be used, but was instead searching for space-efficient supplies to store in my camping kitchen "chuck box." First, I discovered that full size and half size commercial "steam pans" were almost perfectly dimensioned to fit in my Blue Sky Kitchen "Work Top Box" to act as sub-dividers to make setting up and breaking down camp quicker and easier.As I looked for the lowest prices for these pans, I realized there was also a colander insert option for most of them. Perfect! A colander was on my list of items I wanted to buy so my camping equipment could stay packed up (not raiding my home kitchen before every trip.) It's worth noting that this colander only has holes on the bottom (not up the sides), and that the holes are fairly large, maybe 3/8 inch in diameter. A sharpened pencil point fits into one hole almost up to the yellow paint, but not quite. Spaghetti or skinny macaroni (think Kraft Mac & Cheese size) might slip through the holes, but fatter elbows or rigatoni will probably work fine.One fact I couldn't find anywhere was whether these items are all standard enough to be used interchangeably between brands. I don't have any lids or other accessories, but I did find this Cambro Clear Camwear Colander for Half Size pan to fit very well in my Winco stainless steel half size pan. I use these in production to hold frozen, sliced chicken for thawing. Only product that actually works for this purpose. Durable, easy to clean, lids are tight and easy to stack in freezer.

It fits perfectly in the sink. It is easy to clean.
