Draper 10604 Air Tyre Inflator with Pressure Gauge

I’ve always trusted Draper tools and I wasn’t disappointed with this purchase, it’s well made and works as it should, what more can you ask for?It comes with a 1/4” male BSP fitting which I just unscrewed and fitted a quick release instead. The original was tight as you would expect so wrap the handle in a rag and place in a vice to make it easier to undo. If you’re unsure about which fittings you need then pop into Machine Mart, they have just about every fitting you can think of! I always add a few wraps of PTFE tape to fittings to get a nice air tight seal 👍🏻

I bought this item and later realised that there was a more expensive item in the range and was slightly concerned that it might not be up to the job. In the event, I found that there was nothing to worry about and, for the home workshop, this is more than adequate. You will need a female coupling to screw onto the screw-thread that comes with the tyre inflator and, I found that you may need some ptfe tape to make it air-tight. The thread is compatible with 1/4 inch fittings and XF fittings, depending on the compresor you have. On use, there is a clip that attaches securely to the filler valve on tyres and the dial will spin round to about 4 bar until you release the trigger, at which point it will fall back give you a reading in psi and bar. Obviously, it would be better if the dial was progressive and gave a true reading as you fill - I was disconcerted at first - but it does not matter that much and the cost saving against a professional product makes it good value for money, but not perfect. If this is crucial, go for something better, but for the home workshop, this is adequate and for the price works very well.

This will be the second one i've bought and the last, it works and reads pretty well but quality is not great and Im already having problems with this one, had to strip it down and repair :-(Get what you pay for !

Good value for money, quality good and gauge accurate

Does what it's ment to do perfectly well. Puts air in my tyres from my compressor and it didn't cost very much. The one I got is a little bit out on the psi reading, and you can tell this isn't high quality engineering. However does its job fine and reasonable value at its price point in my opinion.

Sarebbe anche costruito bene, peccato solo che sopra ci sia un'etichetta con la dicitura (in inglese): "ATTENZIONE: Il manometro della pressione e solo indicativo. Per una misura accurata della pressione, usare un manometro calibrato e certificato. Con quello che costa, ero convinto che lo fosse. La descrizione dell'oggetto nell'inserzione è carente.
