Where Does DE Come From? Diatomaceous earth (also known as fossil shell Flour, diatomite) is made up of tiny fossilized diatoms (Algae) that have accumulated over millennia in Oceans and fresh water lakes. These pure food grade deposits found only in freshwater lake beds are mined and ground into a fine powder that is naturally high in silica and other minerals. It is this chalky white powder that we call diatomaceous earth. What is Diatomaceous Earth Used For? Pure food grade diatomaceous earth can be used for a large number of different purposes. Here's a small selection of uses: A natural health supplement. Being high in silica, DE supports the growth of healthy hair, skin, nails and joints also can help to lower blood pressure and cholesterol. A stain remover. A magic product which works!
Excellent product. Before I bought this product I had no/very little knowledge about this stuff. I did a lot of research online and found out about this product. Bought 2kg which was a massive amount (which I did not need) and still have a lot of left in a sealed container. I bought this to treat a bed bug problem I could not overcome 100% with conventional chemicals. I Dusted mattress, bed frame and the floor underneath bed with small amount of these stuff, and it has been about 3 months since I applied this and there is no sign of the nasty creatures yet. As a prosecution, I was wearing eye protection and a dust mask when I was handling this (can be very dusty during application) As other feedbacks suggested, you must buy pure/edible grade if you are to use inside the house/An edible pest control product..how cool is that? Good for the health and good for the planet earth!

Best stuff ever.
I love this stuff . I use a tablespoon every morning with lemon juice, turmeric,ginger, black pepper,cinnamon in a glass of water. You have to mix it well and not let it sit as the Diatomaceous Earth does not dissolve. I can honestly say my bowels are as regular as they have ever been, sometimes more than twice a day ( I hope not too much information) and I don't see it mentioned a lot but my skin is so silky soft on my body and my face. I am hooked on this stuff now and would recommend this seller highly. The pack is large and I put it in a cereal container and still it didn't all fit in.

Highly Recommended
Very impressed with this product, only packed in single bag which is fairly strong as the diatomaceous earth is very light in weight. Arrived a day earlier than expected, thank you. Used earth on the carpet and on the cat, cat was so bored as she stopped scratching and licking for about 12 hours. I used some earth on my arms as I itch a lot, since using it, I am not itching on my arms anymore. Still to try taking it, but am almost certain that it will help my overall health.

Great pests control for your pet!
I have been given it to my cat every day for the last 3 years. I take it as well, the result is amazing! I have never given worm and flea control medication to my cat and also in hot summer never got any pests. She has a very soft and shine coat and no more money spent on those not healthy remedies. Since taken it myself, my hair and nails have improved and my skin looks healthier. It’s a great natural product. I take a table spoon with little water and a very small tip is a teaspoon to my cat, in the morning with wet food, on top of the food so that she eats it on the first bite. Try it!!

Must buy for chooks
Bloody good value for money compared to other products. Use this in my chicken coup to prevent red mite. Works a dream as not had a problem since purchased this over a year ago. I recommend using as a paint/slurry (300g/L water) and painting it into every crack and onto every surface with a fence brush. Not pretty but will do the job. Avoids dust in the air for you and your much loved chooks - it's not good for either of us. Leaves no surface to hide from them dreaded red mite. Cant sing its praises enough, if I could give it more stars I would !!!

Perhaps look at a seller that uses double lined or a different container.
Have been using D.E. for some years now and think it's magic. Would recommend it to anyone as with around 1200 known benefits you can't really go wrong. It's helped my hair, skin, teeth, digestion. It's helped sort out an infestation of head lice in the family and I also use it for pest control.I'm giving 4 stars as the D.E. it'self is beyond awesome but, the pack wasn't double so getting the plastic bag itself open created quite a mess.

Love it
Double bagged and packed in a cardboard box, it arrived in perfect condition and as described. Great as a natural wormer and to de-flea my dogs, and I take a teaspoon in water every day to clear any much from my insides. So many uses for this fabulous stuff.

This stuff really works!
This stuff really does work - 3 teaspoons a day. There's a really good info leaflet that tells you how it works within your body and I've seen great results personally and highly recommend it. :D
