Great for excursions out into the forests of Endor.
I’ve been greatly anticipating this since I saw a few months ago that the Lego Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper were being released as an addition to the Constraction range. The speeder bike has been a favourite Star Wars vehicle of mine since I first saw Return of the Jedi at the cinema as a kid, and it becomes the first craft of any kind to be added to the Constraction range which up until now have been exclusively action figures. If you’re unfamiliar with the Constraction range they are fully poseable and articulated figures from the various Star Wars eras that generally stand around 30cm/12 inches in height. Made mostly from technic Lego components they tend to retail around the £20 mark, although look hard enough and most will be attainable for around £15. Ones that are about to be retired often drop down to under £10. They have been released in waves over the last couple of years, with classic Star Wars figures such as Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Obi Wan being the first. Then there has been a Force Awakens release featuring Rey, Finn, Poe and Kylo Ren etc. And most recently the Rogue One characters such as Jyn and K-2SO. Up until now there had been 18 sets available, including the huge and impressive General Grievous. The really do look impressive when built, and if you’ve ever fancied a bit of amateur stop-frame animation you could do a lot worse than these. In the latest wave of Star Wars sets Lego has added another Stormtrooper variant and this Scout Trooper with Speeder Bike.I can’t escape how expensive this set is, which weighs in around the £50 mark. It’s a big jump up from the previous high point of around £30 for Grievous. It’s a lot considering the regular Star Wars sets of similar value contain a lot more pieces. However, it’s a great looking model and it was enjoyable to put together. The set took me about an hour and a half to complete, most of which comes from the construction of the bike. It’s a relatively straight forward build, although there were a couple of times I misread the instructions and had to back up a little. When finished the overall size of the bike is impressively large. It’s about 45cm/18 inches in length, and the Scout Trooper can be securely fixed onto the bike by connections at the hand and underneath his feet. I’m very pleased with how the model looks and it sits well with the rest of my collection. I will continue to remain in anticipation of Lego finally getting around to producing Han Solo, Chewbacca, Leia, R2-D2, C-3PO, Lando, The Emperor and his Imperial guards.

High standard model.
Absolutely fantastic model of the Empire’s speeder bike featured in the Return of the Jedi.A very large model, well detailed and a fun build.Figure is very articulated and is a great rendition of a scout trooper. But the real star is the speeder itself! As other reviews have suggested if Lego had slapped a UCS badge on the box, I wouldn’t of been surprised.I’ve got it displayed next to my ULTIMATE COLLECTERS EDITION Slave 1, and it almost steals the show, even from that!!!If you can get it for £34 like I did, snap it up.... you won’t regret it.(-o-)

For a Lego enthusiast, this ticked all the boxes.
This was bought for my eight year old grandson although the age range on the box was for ten to fourteen years. He didn't appear to have any problems and when finished, he took some photos which I still have to see. Overall, he seemed very happy with his present. The parcel was delivered well before Christmas although I had left it to the last minute to order, so all in all, a good experience.

Great kit
The size is impressive and, like all the other large Lego kits, it looks spot on. Oh for a Tie-Fighter at the same scale!Brilliant.
