After 6 days my teeth are definitely cleaner, about 2 shades brighter - not bad for a coffee and red wine drinker.It's the low level active ingredient carbamide peroxide which makes it work better than the \"natural\" whitening gels -it's present at just 0.1% in this product, whereas super active dentist-only treatments can be up to 44% concentration (I did my research)! I am now purchasing more. Initially the first set of gum shields were hard to shape correctly because I had not pressed them to my teeth contours. The solution I am pleased to say did not produce any irritation to my gums and lightened my teeth right from the first. I have used a similar product which you applied with a brush and then used the UV light but it did not work anywhere as good as this. My discolouration was caused by age and always drinking black tea, even so this product worked.
