x-men: apocalypse 4k Ultra-HD [Blu-ray]

I have a few UHD movies now, so feel I can comment on this with product. This without a doubt the best quality picture, and sound I have seen to date.The picture is rich in colour, the HRD gives a deep black which is second to none. You can see every hair, pimple, & drop of sweat which is available, evan the shine in their eyes is just fantastic. You get a feeling of 3D depth of field which makes you feel you are in the action with acters.I have read some where that this is a Demo-worthy disc, and I have to agree.The good thing is the sound is upto the quality if the picture in Dolby atmos the sound really makes you feel you are in the center of the action, this is true 7.1, with deep base, fantastic mid,& high notes, sound coming from everywhere, just the best you will hear.Oh, and the movie is just made for this format. When I first saw this picture I felt it was average, not the best of the X-men films, but not the worst (X-Men 3) by any means. But in UHD it is now my favorite of them all.

Really enjoyed this film and was the 1st 4K blu ray I got to view and test on my new Xbox S. I have to say it looked amazing in 4K and Ofcourse you notice it in certain scenes more than others but excellent overall. I'm probably in the minority my only issue is my 4K TV also shows 3D and I still enjoy watching 3D. Despite 4K being the new revolution 3d still seems to be going even though many say it's not popular anymore but still new movies in the cinemas are using the 3D option and still coming out 3d blu rays.What would be ideal is to offer a 4K 3d and ordinary blu ray, 3 cds in 1 case or 2 cds containing 4K & 3d. Otherwise I would now have to buy a separate copy of X men Apocalypse if I wanted to view it in 3D which I'm not prepared to do. I think for those who own a 4K 3d tv should have the availability to buy just 1 copy that offers both options but more likely these film makers would want us to spend more kmoney so unlikely to happen.

In terms of 4k definition quality, probably the most impressive I have seen to date.The story takes us back to 3600 BCE, in ancient Egypt where apowerful mutant En Saban Nur known as Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) is worshipped..as a GodHowever, during a rebellion, he becomes entombed alive, now 1n 1983 he is awoken.Apocalypse doesn't like what he see's in modern-day Egypt, mankind seems to have lost its way and becomes determined to put things back in order, he recruits a team of mutants to assist including the disillusioned and indeed grieving Magneto/Eric (Michael Fassbender)Meanwhile, Apocalypse and his now four powerful horsemen attack the mansion to kidnap Charles, who Apocalypse believes will enhance his power when forced to use his extraordinary ability to help change the World back to his vision of what it should be.The X-Men that escaped both Apocalypse's and indeed Stryker's attack will first rescue their fellow mutants (we also get a brief and slashing appearance of Wolverine ( Hugh Jackman) held at Stryker's compound) before heading to rescue CLed by Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) Jean (Sophie Turner) and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) with the telepathic power of Charles the battle to prevent destruction and the enslavement of the planet's survivors is on.Must admit, as good as the 4k and indeed electric special effects are, the storyline did seem to lack the flow of earlier x-men movies in my view.

Please do not listen to any of the bad reviews some people have left on this page, this film is a two hour rollercoaster of a movie and I think its better than days of future past and that was a great movie, don't hesitate and buy this film.

Great film, great 4k with dolby atmos. Delivery and price wear fantastic. You usually cannot get 4k films for under £20, this 4k film was slightly over £10. What an absolute bargain.

like your other reviewer i also have a couple of dozen uhd disks and this really is up there with the best picture and sound are outstanding well worth the up grade so would buy this one for sure is i were you
