Brilliant! I can slice onions to any size without the layers slipping apart all over the chopping board! Slice the onion end to end, remove outer skin and trim ends. Place each half flat down on the chopping board and push the holder vertically down across the half onion, side to side. Put the knife in between the prongs and cut lengthwise. You can vary the cut spacing by cutting in between every other prong. Then slice the onion crosswise, from the end inwards, on each side of the holder. The last cut can be right next to the prongs, and the remaining onion pieces can be pulled off.

Had one of these a very long time ago, so glad i have managed to obtain another. Excellent little gadget for cutting onions, makes quick uniformed slices , you can use on other things too, cucumber,tomatoes, anything i suppose. For the money, i definatley reccomend .

Worked very well with onions. Either slicing or chopping by keeping the holder in place after slicing and cutting the other way. I tried slicing apples and that worked well by cutting between every other prong they were a good thickness.Well worth the money. I will definitely keep using it.

Actually bought this for my quilling projects as I didn't want to spend a lot. What a fab find! Perfect for its intended use and certainly brilliant for crafting. I wasn't expecting the cover, as that's not shown in the pictures - so perhaps I was lucky? Anyway, great price, good quality and exceeds expectationsThanks!

I have used these in the past and wanted to buy one of my own. I was concerned about how sturdy it would be because the price was very decent but it is very sturdy, works perfectly for onions, and I think would be fine with other veg e.g potatoes although I have not yet tried. Using this I can finally dice onions finely and evenly!
