Fetanten Wall Stud Sensor, 4-in-1 Digital Multi-function Electronic Wood Drywall Detector Finder for Metal, Studs, Deep and AC Live Wires, Sound Warning.I want to hang on the wall a tv.So I need something to find the studs in the wall.This stud finder is 4 in one.You can use it for current, stud, metal and depth.I use it, and found quickly the studs in the wall.Now, I can hang the tv without problems.

This is about the 4th cable detector I have owned and yet again I have been disappointed. This unit is probably as good as they get but I think my expectations must be unrealistic! it will probably save you drilling through a cable but dont expect to find the ideal place to drill every time. I probably would not be satisfied with anything less than x-ray specs!

Well I thought I would give this a try after re-wire and remodel of a bedroom, I thought I would add a projector screen as an after thought. So all I needed to do was to put a baton up to support the screen, however I knew a couple of screw in points may be close to the wiring. Can I trace where the wires are?....nope....it would beep every so often BUT never the same place twice. So with money out of my pocket and a device thats as much use as a chocolate fire guard I am no further on. I know the wires are not deep and should have been picked up but unfortunately its just another one of those toys made in China masquerading as a tool.

The media could not be loaded.  Figured I should play it safe and pick up a stud finder before drilling after my father had an incident with drilling into a wire (he's fine, though the loud bang and loss of power was enough to put me off!). It has a variety of detection modes, and feels reasonably sturdy. Instructions were very easy to follow. It didn't come with a battery, which wasn't a problem for me as I have a load of 9v batteries but definitely worth mentioning if you're thinking of purchasing.

A bit temperamental.Sometimes says there's stud on plaster wall, which doesn't help. Failed to detect timber once, when indicating so, lucky it was just a mirror. Worked for the TVs though, which was the main one.

This is really good for stud walls but requires a bit more effort for other detection modes. It certainly works but make sure you zero it somewhere sensible so that you get the best readings and take multiple readings at different levels to get a good average reading.

I am not happy with this product at all. In trying to locate wooden studs in a drywall I kept getting false readings and it has never been very accurate. I specifically went for this model as it cost more than some other cheaper models, but feel completely let down. I have no confidence in its accuracy and would return it if I could.

Not so good at detecting studs ( especially if the celing has foil insulation ). Works well on other settings.
