Attractive and functional cover
A very attractive and good sized tin. I used it to protect a small wedding cake when I needed to travel quite a few hours in the car to the venue for a family wedding. Now, it's perfect for any home baking. A good seal, I think it does the job of being air tight, but it's not secure enough to just carry by the top with the handle if you're looking for something that's easy to carry. I didn't expect it to be, and just use the handle as an easy grip to pull the lid off.The band which grips the lid slides off - this sometimes takes a bit of extra time to make sure it's in the right place when you put the lid on, but it's a very small thing. And because it does this, it means you can clean it and the tin properly.

Seal keeps cake very fresh
It's larger than expected but it very nice looking and the seal keeps the cake very fresh. It's easy and quick to clean. Good value for money. Delivery as promised.

I always get compliments for my beautiful cake tin :)
This is a very beautiful and sturdy cake tin! It is rather large and bulky, which makes it difficult to transport, and if your cake isn't sticky there is a chance that it can slip on the inside. If you're making short journeys then it's ok - just be careful in the car and make sure it stays on a flat surface! However, if you're like me and always used tonnes of ganache or frosting, then you can stick it to the bottom with a bit of it. When you remove the lid, you can serve the cake on the base as it's pretty sleek and presentable (as in the picture). Be careful, though, not to get cake stuck in the grooves where the lid sits, as it just looks messy and can be a pain to clean. But I suppose that's the compromise between having a cake tin with a completely removable lid (i.e. this one) and a tin that has walls (which would make getting the cake out a pain).Despite the above, I have given this tin 5 stars because it serves its purpose fantastically for me - it's a great balance of practicality (i.e. keeping your car safe) and presentation (I always, always get compliments on my cake tin!).

Nice design, missing one thing though...
I did like the design and wanted to like it and keep it despite this potentially disastrous downside - it's not got any bottom lock and misleadingly having the handle on top, just leads to lift the whole thing by it - would be a big mistake ending with your cake on the floor. If it had bottom lock or as I expected initially - a screw on bottom would have been ideal. The actual seal is tight enough to trick you or someone else into thinking it's locked and pick it up, but will slowly and surely slip off. Also, the seal groove is quite deep and tricky to clean while in use.Good looking, but you have to be very careful.

CLEVER DESIGN- OR DAMAGED IN THE POST?
Only after inspecting the makers pics in close-up did I decide it’s not the latter. Why is the lip of the serving plate bent as it’s been bashed in transit??? Product and packaging so good I figure there has to be a reason so I deferred my initial reaction to reluctantly reject. Otherwise looks like first class quality and value. Who knows, maybe this positive review will get noticed, and this quirky feature explained in the description.

Perfect - after Nine Years
Looking for a smaller cake tin, I came across this that I purchased nine years ago. The rubber seal is still intact, the tin seals perfectly, and it is in daily use. There could hardly be a better recommendation

Looks good, but poor components let it down.
Looks really nice. Screws that hold the handle in place are not stainless and rusted badly.

A Beautiful nostalgic presentation/gift box
I was looking for a replacement gift box for my baked goods that wasn’t Plastic. I want it to last and as it seems very well made I can’t see why it wouldn’t.It needs to be airtight as a lot of my ladies don’t like frosting and prefer a Victoria sponge or a bundt, so the dome had to be high and for freshness it had to be airtight. The recipient said the cake was beautiful and kept fresh but she found it hard to put in her fridge so had to remove a shelfIn the photo you can see the comparison to the Kitchen Craft cake stand. The cakes were made in two 20cm cake pans. For Aesthetics, I still prefer a traditional cake stand but for an easy to travel, easy to maintain presentation gift box (returnable obviously) it’s perfect and very classy. Far better than plastic and the ladies love it.
