Brilliant little tool. So simple to use. Does exactly what it is supposed to do. It might take a few tries to get the knack of it, but persevere. Wonderful way to recycle/upcycle all your old bottles. The ideas on YouTube are endless. Excellent way to start an inexpensive new hobby. Thats all my Christmas prezzies sorted. And no, I haven't been paid or compensated for this review.

Works really well
The equipment is pretty well made and works well. There is a knack to cleanly cutting a bottle, and you might not get it on the first go but the kit works really well and will get you there.I would recommend that you have a bit more sand paper to hand, or even a sanding block - the glass can slice through the paper. Also, my tip is don't do it at the kitchen table because of it goes wrong it goes wrong everywhere ! Do it over the sink or a few sheets of newspaper.Have fun

works inconsistently
works so-so most of the time. It does the job, but to get a precise match-up on the fracture line when you are done with the full 360 degree turn is hard. If you don't, you risk the entire bottle breaking in ways that you didn't want. So if you have loads of bottles, you will just do fine as not every attempt will succeed. If you want to convert that one, special keepsake into a glass or vase, I wouldn't try it with this one.

Does what it says, still needs practise and care!
Arrived very quickly, the scoring was easy with this device, with careful measuring I mostly get the line to meet, I have cracked a few bottles from applying too much pressure but that’s just a learning curve. Quite glad my friends drink a lot as soon ran out of bottles lol!Personally finding the candle to hear the score mark works best, usually about 3 slow rotations but you get to hear a little crackle noise which usually means it’s ready for the cold tap and hen just pulls apart. Prosecco bottles take a lot longer as much thicker!Great product thank you

Cheap and effective way of making glasses from bottles!
So, I got this as my house mate loves her Vodkas, and loves some of the bottles that they come in.My Advice to you: PRACTICE on a boring bottle first! Also, do not try and cut it on the bend of the neck ... and be slow and methodical about it.Now we have got that over, it is pretty easy to use, and works well (after your practice session!)Whats not to like?!Even comes with some wet and dry to sort any rough edges you may have!

Defective product
The design of it is smart but I believe I got a badly made one. The second the blade touches the glass it breaks it. I watched tutorials and I seen that their blade doesnt go that far in. Mine does go too far and the second it touches the glass and a tiny bit of pressure goes onto it... bam... glass broken. I'm a bartender. I have a Lot of glass to practice on. Only 2 worked so far... from idk how many now...

Good service from seller
Good service from seller, prompt delivery etc., however the bottle cutter is not nearly as easy to use as the video would have you believe.I haven't managed to get a bottle with a straight edge yet - and it takes 2-3 nearly-boiling kettles to get the scored line to separate. It is also very difficult to direct the hot water onto the line alone, and not splash it everywhere else. Too much pressure when tightening the thing makes the bottle explode, too little and the score line won't separate. It's a tricky business getting it right. I'm saving "ordinary" bottles to practice, hopefully will get the hang of it soon.

I would say it has a good ease of use as I only have one hand ...
I only received mine the other day and have only quickly tested it. It does the job although the score line did spiral. As the orange separation bands aren't mentioned in the instructions I'm guessing they are intended as a guide to stop the spiralling. I will be trying that when I next have a go.I would say it has a good ease of use as I only have one hand and can operate it.
