Upland Strap Vest

I had tried 3 different strap vests on at Scheels ranging from $100 up to $300 and was not impressed with any of them.I searched Amazon for options under $150 with good reviews and decided to give this a try since it had free returns. I wore it two or three times while training my dog, and once pheasant hunting and I’m very happy with it. It’s light, rigid around the waist where it needs to be to support the pockets/gear while taking it on and off, pockets are back far enough to be out of the way but still far enough forward to be easily accessible, and most importantly it is much lighter and cooler than a standard vest. It was 65 degrees and sunny when we hunted yesterday and I never felt overheated like I did in a regular vest. Plus there is A LOT of adjustment, so it should easily fit over a coat when it gets cold this December.The only disadvantage going from a regular vest to this is a little loss in storage/pockets, but it’s still very usable.

This was delivered today, so I will come back and edit if it doesn’t hold up to hard use.Size: this is bigger than I expected. The front pouches can hold a box of shells with room to spare, the pouch would hold 3-5 pheasant (goose and a half, four rabbits easy), and the drink pouches (which are a feature I really appreciate) are just a wee bit too small to hold a 2 liter jug of soda. So, will it fit your stuff? I should think so.It is light weight, but not cheaply made. Stitches all look straight and strong, straps and buckles are good quality nylon and ABS plastic. I have a 48” chest and there’s plenty of room for adjustment whether I’m in a t-shirt or a wool coat, and I expect it could adjust down much smaller and a good bit larger.Let me knock it around for a few seasons and I’ll say something about durability, but I’m happy with the vest new.Happy hunting!

Very Happy with this Nica vest so far after a 5 day Grouse Hunt in Northern New Hampshire which 4 days of it were rain and hiking thru mountains. This vest was perfect I'm 6ft 230lbs and have had back issues for years. The back support on this vest was great. I'm looking forward to using it for the upcoming Quail season back home. Update the vest is great value for the price and extremely comfortable. The only thing I wish is that you could add and remove pockets. But for the money it’s great.

True to size fully adjustable and comfortable

I’ve been hunting for over 45 yrs and finally found the vest of all time . Rugged lite weight and lots of pockets which are water proof electronics stay dry and safe well built .
