Krusteaz Buttermilk Complete Pancake Mix Just Add Water 4.53kg Reusable Pouch

I didn't realise that something so simple could be so important but the bond that your pancake mix has created between me and my daughter is quite amazing.She (9) has always been a challenge with food and for once we have found something simple that she looks forward to. Every weekend we wake up to make pancakes and she not only helps but we also have great fun, always making funny shapes and crazy patterns with the last pancake in the mix. It's become quite a tradition in our house and we are now onto the 3rd bag. I would order more often but it just takes us so long to get through. I would say that we order about 4 bags a year.Thank you.

For some years I worked in a job where I had staff in London and Jersey City, NJ. Because of this, I was visiting and working in the USA roughly one week out of every six. Rather than paying silly hotel prices for breakfast, I found an inexpensive, traditional diner in Jersey City that served decent coffee and proper American breakfasts, including the fluffiest, most delicious pancakes I'd ever tasted, served with maple syrup and bacon. When I knew I had a difficult and stressful day ahead, I would occasionally treat myself to this hearty breakfast before braving the office. I left that particular job more than a decade ago, and ever since I've been yearning for those traditional diner pancakes. Nothing came close... until, that is, I bought this Krusteaz mix. I made my first batch of pancakes for breakfast this morning and ate them with a knob of butter and maple syrup. They are EXACTLY like those I ate at that NJ diner. Soft, fluffy texture; light yet substantial; neither sweet nor savoury, and utterly DELICIOUS. And they're so easy to make with just a little water... there's no need to add egg or milk. Mixed per the directions, the liquid pours easily, spreads out to the perfect thickness in the pan, and takes just a minute or so of cooking on each side. Couldn't be simpler. At 4.53kg this resealable pack is huge and should last a typical family several weeks or months. It's also fantastic value... way cheaper than most supermarket pancake mixes, and far more authentic. Oh, and the "best before" date on the bag I received is nine months from purchase, so there's no chance of any waste (it will be used up well before then, of that I'm certain). I can't rate this product highly enough. Superb.

I was sceptical as every other pre made mix I'd tried was disappointing but after reading the reviews thought I would give it a try.You get extremely fluffy and super thick pancakes that are slightly crunchy on the outside.It is ridiculously easy to make as all you need to do is add water. Working on the basis of around 1 cup of mix and 1 and 1/3rd water but you can always judge to get the right consistency.Nothing will be better than using completely fresh ingredients such as buttermilk and eggs but this is the next best solution and much easier.The mix isn't the sweetest so you could always add a little sugar if you have a sweeter tooth and most people use whatever toppings you use to ensure sweetness anyway such as maple syrup.Decent value as well as the giant size bag will make countless giant pancakes.Superb product!

Great product and was looking for this after enjoying this brand in the US. So very quick and easy, just add water and mix, then pop in a pan. Each cooks in two minutes, but do not squash down with spatula. The one I received was imported by Costco, and is cheaper in store, but this was delivered quickly, without having to join or drive the hour to my nearest branch. I think this will happily last me until the sell by date. By the way, 33g of mix and 44ml of water makes a single pancake, so that amount can be multiplied easily. If you want American style pancakes regularly, this will not disappoint.

Wow. These pancakes are a God send. My son LOVES pancakes (American style) and every weekend I would dread making up the batter, making sure I had enough eggs etc but this has changed that completely.I use milk instead of water, I havent tried it with water but with milk they are beautiful.I cook mine in a cast iron skillet and they turn out perfect every single time and look exactly like the picture on the packaging. A new cupboard staple for my family although I wont need to be buying any more any time soon, the bag is huge!The pancakes are fluffy and delicious, could not recommend enough.

Ok first off you need to realise this is a VERY large bag of pancake mix!!I was so surprised when it was delivered as it will take a very long time to finish. Also if you don’t have lots of space where do you keep such a large bag of pancake mix?!That said it is straightforward to use and I now whip up pancakes most Sundays as a treat for the girls. Personally I like adding a touch of vanilla to the mixture as it makes the pancakes taste so good!All in all everyone enjoy them and they are not too unhealthy.

OK, so I bought this after reading all the glowing reviews. Big mistake.Flavour? There is none. This product is so bland. Where is the buttermilk? You can honestly make better tasting ones by yourself with a bit of plain flour, egg, butter, sugar and milk (all natural, no crap)The ingredients on my bag differ to what is shown on amazon also. Big disappointment as there's plenty of genetically modified stuff in there.Waste of money and now I'm not sure what I'll do with the rest of it. I dare not take it to the food bank - they'd give me a slap and throw it in my face.
