ORICOPowered Aluminium USB 3.0 Hub - 10-Port Data and BC 1.2 Charging Hub (Silver)

I need to attach to my Flight Simulator PC a number of peripherals, Flight Yoke, Rudder Pedals and various flight instruments to a total of seven inall. I addition I have an external ssd which contains a large number of Scenery Files which are all needed by the Flight Sim. This Hub is an excellent solution. It is independently powered and has an on/off switch which is useful. Visually it looks neat and tidy and while I have read other reviews complaining of the brightness of the blue lights which come on above each port when active, this does not detract from my experience because the Hub is located to one side out of my direct line-of-sight. I have installed it on its side with the port labels/lights uppermost, so the usbs plugs are in the horizontal plane. I have fixed it in place with heavy duty double sided sticky tape.How does it work ? it works faultlessly, the only problem I have is sometimes forgetting to turn it on when it is needed.I have no hesitation in recommending this hub. It is well made and substantial looks the part and is easy on the eye.

Bought as a successor to one with an equal number of ports and from another brand where several were working one day but most had failed by the next, leaving just three functioning ports. Similar experiences with equivalent hubs from various brands, most of which are sufficiently similar to be manufactured by a single factory, that had also previously failed - some within a few weeks but mostly within 6-9 months. It may lack the neatness of construction that a one-piece body offers, this being clearly screwed or bolted together, but adds an improved cooling capability. It less broad but also much deeper than their standard plastic-bodied versions.Orico is a brand from whom several drive enclosures had been purchased, some simple single-drive units for either 2.5 or 3.5-inch drives but others are mostly inexpensive RAID units although a small number of JBOD and multi-drive examples were purchased for use by clients but never employed as originally intended. Although a few failures were experienced, each was after several years of daily use so brand reliability is considered to be high. There is no reason why this should be any different although time will eventually tell.

Plug and play, fast and does all that it should - no complaints at all

all the usb ports required in one place, especially to connect all my device to my mac.has own powersupply so you dont get disconnections and drop off.sturdy build and eligant to the eye

Having purchased a few similar items in the past, I would say this has been the best so far. The reliability has to date been issue free.It’s well made and the blue lights to confirm active ports is a nice addition.I purchased one to try and then another after deciding it was working well, but there is a slightly disappointing issue for me.All my equipment goes through a power supply conditioner with one switch to turn on all my equipment, but unfortunately the usb adapters still have to be turned on independently via their power switch hence 4 starts review.

At one time or another, I have purchased several USB hubs, most of them move about on the desk or don't supply enough current or voltage, they often have the usb ports too close together, or at a weird angle, so that you can't put more than three items on a four port hub for example. They are often are badly designed and get marked or damaged, sometimes they stop working for no reason.Now I haven't had this hub for very long just a few weeks, but so far, its great, just the opposite of everything bad, over the long term, time will tell, but so far its catering for everything I need, a couple of hard drives, a usb sound card, some memory sticks and charging a phone, when I need to, all the other hits seem rubbish compared to this one.

My sample was faulty, causing drives to be unmounted randomly.Supplier good, no problem with refund.Seems a well built piece of kit but I'd lost confidence.

Ce hub est très fiable pour des connexions usb multiples, néanmoins si vous utilisez Window 1, je ne vous conseille pas de brancher votre clavier et souris filaire ou wifi directement sur ce hub. En effet si vous le faites vous serez dans l'impossibilité de mettre votre ordinateur en veille. J'ai donc branché ces deux périphériques directement sur les fiche usb 2 de mon ordinateur et alors tout est rentré dans l'ordre. Pour les autres périphériques disque dur, clé usb, scanner, imprimante webcam etc... pas de problème au contraire. Très satisfait de mon achat

Rempli parfaitement son rôle de hub USB sur mon iMac 2018. Il ne chauffe pas, il est fiable. La vitesse de transfert des données est au rendez-vous.

Peut encombrant. Je n'ai pas eu de soucis à l'utilisation. Le câble usb et l'alimentation sont un peu court selon moi si on veut l'utiliser avec une tour sous un bureau
