Wilkinson WPB Premium Range AlNiCo V Bass Pickups for 'PB' type Guitars, Precision Bass

I wanted to upgrade the pickup on my p bass. But i did'nt want to purchase something that was too expensive being a bedroom bass player. The major brands being rather expensive. Plastic and Magnets at the end of the Day! My Original pickups used to hum and were a bit dull. Bought a cheap soldering iron and put these on. What a Difference, the clarity and sound are really that good. Now i'm not a connoisseur when it comes to pickups. Having said that i would be very surprised if anything would sound as good as this. Would Recommend....

I put these on an old fender copy bass and they perked it up a bit. Quite clear sound and value for money, however they are what they are and won’t compete with higher priced pickups from the major companies like Seymour Duncan or EMG etc. Decent budget pickups.

I have used various expensive pickups over the years in pursuit of the ‘perfect’ tone and these compare favourably with any of them.Don’t be put off by the low price, you’re getting a classic-sounding alnico 5 pickup. Tonally they are very well balanced, clear, weighty low end, punchy mids and crystal highs, kind of similar to the much more expensive standard Fender offering but in my opinion, better.I guess some buyers might feel the need to replace the cover with the Wilkinson logo on it but other than that it’s all positive.I really can’t speak highly enough of these pickups.

Great pickups. Lpvely P bass sound. After installing and spending some time setting up the height of the pups. The pickup dropped through the cover.... had to reinstall and start again. No means of keeping the covers on. Easy fix with a bit of glue around the edges. But for the price, can't complain too much. Perfect fit and swap for my Squier Affinity PJ Bass!

All fine and dandy, prompt delivery, well packed, easy to fit and work well. They improve the sound of my 99GBP bass guitar and I rate them good value for money.

Used on a fretless bass project. Sounds much better than expected. Great price, usual quick service from Amazon.

Replacement pickups work ok, a bit quiet though

Bought these as a replacement for the original pick ups on my cheep bass guitar .To be honest for the price the are very good , its only a practice guitar but has improved the sound 100 percent
