What we needed
My child can do a full 90 degree turn in her bed at times. So this really helps. We have had it a while now no major companies. The fabric runs on the bars after a while so it squeaks a little when you pull it up. But other then that would recommend.

Best I have bought so far
This is an easy to assemble, sturdy, widely adjustable and great value investment.Tip for assembly- when you build it, you are building it with it folded, not with it out in the up position.I bought mine from the open box section for £22 but even at £28 (current price) it's worth it. It's not a cheap flimsy one, it's all metal rods. I'm really impressed.Pros* Its sturdy* lots of ability to adjust to different sizes (my bed has a lip but a 1cm adjustment and it fit like a glove)* would be easy to travel with* all parts are lettered for assembly* a good length* stays in place* built to last* would come apart easy for washingCons* The instructions should make it clearer of the way you are building it (folded down already)* no other bad points for meWe all want to save money and get things cheaper but I'd rather pay for this model having now seen it on the bed now.Toddler says she loves it, its pink and is happy with it. That's actually a very important point. If you get one that your child hates, it might make bedtime harder. Mine has sensory issues, a years delay and could possibly be on the spectrum so making changes to anything can be hard. I've just changed her bed to a big girls bed and it's been a shock to her system but as she got to choose the colour of the bed guard and look at a picture, shes very happy about it. So a positive point of view for her is just as important.

Great Safety Guard but Rubbish Instructions
It’s a Great safety Guard but putting it together is really hard . The instructions are absolutely useless . Me and my partner couldn’t work out how to do the button part even my dad had trouble putting it together and he really good at DIY stuff etc eventually my dad worked round it and found a way putting it together . The locks would just not lock into place .Personally I would not buy this I would buy one that is already Assembled or one that easy because this is not a easy thing to put together the instructions are absolutely rubbish and need a redo but apart from that it is a lovely safety guard and easy to fold down and put back up when on the bed etc.If I would go go and buy another one I would go somewhere else as it took us over 2 hours to put this up and shouldn’t take that long to put a safety guard up .Company needs better instructions for this item .4 Stars - 4 stars for the item would have been 5 if the intrustions wasn’t useless

Safety bed rail
We needed a safety rail for our 2 year old who moves around a lot in her sleep. I read a lot of reviews on similar products before I made my purchase and was given the impression many of the bed guards are very fiddly to assemble and the instructions unclear. I found the instructions and accompanying photographs for this product fairly straight forward. I went by the photographs and it does help that all the pieces are labelled. It was a little fiddly right at the end slotting the final pieces in place but my husband and I managed that between us and the whole process took no more than 20 minutes. For me, the winning aspect of this design is that the frame that supports and holds up the mesh guard, runs right under the mattress and grips the other side so there is little opportunity for the guard to be pushed away by your child. Our safety rail fits a standard single divan bed, and when I need to change the bed sheets I press the buttons located either side of the bottom of the rail to flip the guard down allowing easy access. The only negative comment I would say is that the photo of the safety rail appears to have been photo-shopped. In reality the safety guidelines are printed in black on the front of the guard which your bed sheets will not hide. But at the end of the day, that's only aesthetics. The safety rail performs exactly as promised and in over the month we've had it, the guard has not moved out of position.

Assembly painful but the product works well after that
I bought this bed rail for my daughter. Shocking pink is really not my first choice, but it was the price (£14.99) that distinguished the product from others. The bed rail arrived in a smallish box and I realized that I have to assemble it myself. Okay, no problem, I thought - instructions seemed easy to follow and were complemented with pictures. Unfortunately it wasn't as easy I first thought. Two of the tubes didn't fit together, I guess the other one was larger in diameter than it should have been. No worries, I jammed it in somehow. Then I started to wrestle with hinges. Oh boy, did that take a long time... The instructions doesn't state that the hinge rotates in three positions and you have to be really careful that you assemble the bed rail so that you use only two, correct positions. Otherwise you cannot fold the rail down. Oh and plus, I had to bend curved tubes with my hand and feet before I was able to connect hinges to these tubes (from bout 120 degrees to 90).Nevertheless, now I have a bed rail that looks rather pretty and folds down nicely. So yes, I like it - just as my daughter likes it.

Easy to assemble
After spending a lot of time researching bed guards and getting fed up by mixed reviews on every single one I found, I decided to take the plunge and just go for this one, mainly because it was white to fit in with all her bedroom furniture. My daughter has a cot bed so I was worried I was going to get one that didn't fit properly and would be a waste of money, but upon making this guard up, and popping it under the mattress, it fits perfectly on her cot bed and feels fairly robust, and a good height for making her feel secure. I was alittle worried about how easy it would be to build because a lot of the reviews say it's hard, but I found it an absolute doddle, and was complete in 10 minutes, just in time for bed! The only major fault I have with this product is the fact there's lots of black writing all along the bottom, which wasnt shown in any picture of this product, must have been airbrushed out! the guard still does the job, but just looks unsightly on the white fabric...
