I've bought two of the travel thermoses for Xmas gifts. I love the way the feel and look and the overall idea of the mug. But OMG for the price it is terrible. I've owned the mugs for over a year now and always felt that the charge was very short lived. As I write this, I'm sipping from cold coffee after two hours on a fully charged mug. It didn't even make it a full two hours. I could by a steel tumbler that could go longer. Also, if you don't clean it immediately, it retains the odor very quickly almost as if it accelerates the smell of spoiled dairy. You have to soak it for awhile to get it out. It would be overpriced even at 50% off. I promise you, you will be underwhelmed given the cost and the expectations.

Great to keep your beverage warm, but the battery is short and needs to be recharged soon before you finish your beverage.It's neat to control the temperature with your iOS or Android device via your Bluetooth connection.

I bought mine from another provider due to a great price. I ran across and couldn’t pass it up. It’s been fabulous lasts for hours. I’ve not had a problem with battery charging. I don’t think I could go without one in the future. I love my red.

We have been using regular Ember mugs for a few years. Mostly on the weekends when we can sit and enjoy a cappuccino.Bought one of the black versions of this for my wife for Mother’s Day. At first she complained that it was too expensive (to be honest $200 is a lot for a coffee mug). But she quickly grew to love it. Ended up buying the red one for her for Xmas and I inherited her old one.It is great because she makes coffee early, and puts the mugs back on the charger so we can just grab them on the way out the door. It keeps the coffee at the perfect temp for our commutes. The lid took a little getting used to, but it works well.Ending up buying another one for my mom (with the car charger), she is outdoors a lot and loves using it both as a mug and a hand warmer.

I’ve had this for about 4 months and does not keep charge anymore :( wish I could return

I received this as a gift from hubs a few years ago (so this likely will not be a "verified purchase" review), but an outcome of the service I received when having to contact CS, along with my enjoyment of my mug, compelled me to want to WRITE a review - SOMEWHERE. I love, love, LOVE my travel mug! While I would have never treated myself - I wouldn't have been able to justify the expense - hubs knows me and did well treating me with this mug. It was a FANTASTIC gift! I've had it a few years and it's become one of my very favorite little things I appreciate having and look forward to "communing" with each day. I use it every morning - ah, that it keeps my coffee as hot as I prefer for the duration of my consumption - chef's kiss. It also accompanies me while traveling. It is SUCH a nice treat to be able to take my fully charged coffee mug to the lobby of where we're staying and fill my OWN coffee cup. It's the little things, ya know... I've been in a position to have to contact customer service on a couple of occasions. The service alone is something that would provoke me to not bat an eye at the cost of buying another mug. Said differently, if this thing ever dies, I will immediately cough up Ember's asking price - no coupons, no discount, no questions. Love. This. Mug!

I purchased my mug from Amazon on January 25th, 2023. The first few times I used it was wonderful BUT 1.) it doesn’t hold a charge longer than 2 hours. I assumed it would last at least 5. I make my coffee at 8am & by 10am it’s dead.2.) the top smelled even after being washed 1 million times. I’ve soaked it, dishwasher top racked it, & cleaned it with the tiniest of brushes and it still has an old coffee smell.3.) the top has officially broken which is the same thing that happened to my first ember mug. I thought it was a defect but it hasn’t even been a year. The push down top doesn’t stay open when drinking from it. It pops right back up.Safe to say, I made the mistake for you. Research other mugs. Don’t do it.
