Thingy Club Gas Spring Full Motion Tilt and Swivel Dual Monitor and Laptop Arm Desktop Mount (Laptop & Monitor)

Easy to assemble and after 2 months, its quality hasn’t let it down.I have it setup for a monitor and laptop, the only niggle is whilst it’s compatible with monitors up to 27” (that’s the size of mine) and my laptop is 15”, there’s not enough room to bring the laptop around the monitor. It takes the weight of both no issues and the cable runs are perfect for keeping things neat and tidy. It’s just I’d like to angle the laptop more towards me but that’s only possible with a 27” if it’s raised a little higher than you might want. It’ll work perfectly with smaller monitor no problems. Just something to be aware of.

Feels pretty solid once it's put together, but assembly was very frustrating. The instructions are often unclear and badly translated, and the arms had an extraordinarily tight fit onto the column - it was almost impossible to get them on, which suggests poor manufacturing tolerances. The arms are glossy plastic, and came covered in protective wrap which could not be fully peeled off, leaving ragged edges.I have mine mounted with an LG screen and a laptop. Both are within the stated size/weight limits of the arms, but you can tell it's struggling. The setup is quite wobbly when I type, and the monitor arm occasionally tilts itself towards me over time, even after tightening the joint as per instructions.So there's a lot of downsides to the product, BUT at the end of the day it does the job and it's a lot cheaper than other monitor arms. Whether that's a good trade-off is up to you.

Pros:Overall product feels fairly solid and the finish is of a decent quality, but with a couple of components feeling cheap. I bought the model with one monitor arm and one laptop mount arm.Can easily take the weight of my Samsung 32” TV/Monitor, and MacBook Pro, and feels solid when mounted to the desk. Easy to adjust the tension in the mounting arms so that you can move them around in a variety of positions, as required.Cons:The lugs on the plastic covers that hold in the cables isn’t of the same calibre as the other components and both lugs snapped off when having to fiddle with cable tidying, necessitating having to hold the cable covers in place with Velcro. They feel cheap by comparison.When mounting the arms, I recommend that you place the plastic ‘rings’ on the upright before you place each arm, otherwise it was a bit of struggle / tight fit.One of the bottom ‘feet’ protecting the corners of the laptop mount came off: glue must have been poorly applied. A dab of my own glue and it hasn’t come off.The arms that hold the laptop in place are adjustable to accommodate different sizes: however, again they are of thin plastic. Something more robust would be welcome for any upgrade to the product.Summary:A very good product, which does its job, but let down by a couple of cheap components: hence only 4 stars.

the instructions could be a little more clear

This is a a good mount, high quality... but... I had to return it. I don't have a massive desk depth, and my desk only has a few cm behind it to the wall. I had hoped or expected to be able to fashion the arms into something that was sufficiently far back but it just was not possible, they projected forward far too much. So my advice/tip whould be to ensure you have plenty of space behind the mounts in order to be able to use them to their best advantage. I wish that there had been more engineering diagrams describing the various arcs of motion and if that was the case i would not have ordered. As it is, I've ordered simple vertical arms instead now, two separate ones, and will use a preexisting vesa/laptop adapter. Hopefully this should work.

Bought the open box one, all bits their. Needs some assembly (took me a good hour of faffing about) and the instructions could be a bit clear especially removing the cable covers they are screwed in not clipped on as I found out trying to pull them off (broke one).Once together and on the desk perfectly holds my 24" monitor and Surface Book neither has moved position in 2 months. When you do have to move it the gas assisted arms work very well.

Very sturdy and durable item. Would help if the seller actually sent an item that wasn't so obviously second hand or prior used. Item arrived boxed but has significant scratch marks of prior use. Not happy at spending £90 for a second hand item.
