An excellent quality pull saw, and great value.
Recently, I needed to buy a new flush cutting saw for work. I've used Japanese pattern pull saws for nearly twenty years, and I have owned several ranging from cheap European saws, to very expensive Japanese ones.I work as a cabinetmaker, and use hand tools every day. This is a German made pull saw with a Japanese cross-cut tooth pattern.I had a large amount of kitchen doors to make recently. These had to be lipped in 10mm thick solid oak. This would be moulded later with a router. Each piece of oak was glued on, over length, and had to be trimmed exactly flat and square afterwards. This meant eight cuts per door (two on each side).I had about twenty doors and drawer fronts to make, so approximately 160 accurate cuts had to be made. In addition, each strip of oak was first cut to a rough length from longer stock. I think that this was a proper test of this saw. This saw performed brilliantly. The cuts were smooth and flush. There was only a minimal amount of flushing off with a block plane afterwards, on a few of the doors.I saved a considerable amount of time using this saw. A couple of weeks on, and there are no signs of dulling to the cut.I would highly recommended this saw, especially because of the excellent value that it represents.I expect this saw to give me many years of use. It cuts very quickly, and extremely cleanly.

Worth 3/4x the price!
I, like many, read through this review section when looking for a decent purchase, after reading the reviews of this saw and being in the 'need' of a japanese style pull saw, I decided to commit to the buy.The packaging the saw arrived in didn't fill me with much enthusiasm as it seemed to be similar to cheap pound store tool displays/packaging but with hands on the saw itself it is simply amazing. Handle is comfortable, blade is razor sharp and very flexible, easily can be used for any flush cutting needs. As for cutting wood itself, forget paying out 20 quid for a branded utility saw.. every tool box needs this saw.. it's cheaper and will cut through wood faster than you will believe, once those teeth bite in and you can really give the saw some... it will tear through 1"x4" pine boards in seconds.. no exaggeration, with one backwards stroke applied with force the saw is easily able to cut a kerf deeper than the blade itself. I know you shouldn't apply force when cutting and 'let the saw do the work' but for the purpose of testing and without finish quality in mind I wanted to see what the saw could do, and even so with such force there was minimal to no tearout along the edges and minor tearing in the grain, when slowed down and used correctly this saw will leave an almost perfect crisp cutline with no tearout or even fluffy fibres. Oh and if you were at all interested in ripping wood.. it easily outperforms and hand saw I've used to date, it slices through wood, whether it's cross or rip cut. Other than ordering you to buy it I don't know what else I can say, this saw is amazing, and for the price in my opinion it's perfect. Try it out and you'll understand why I've gone so stupidly descriptive and over my passionate in this review. £8 VERY well spent. For information, I am a hobby woodworker and a general DIY'er, this product easily fts and exceeds my needs.Loved it so much I've bought one for my dad to throw in his toolkit.. I don't think I need to mention how funny old men get with their tools.. I think he'll love this one! Mine still going strong and still VERY sharp.

2nd purchase
Great saw, l find these saws excellent they are super sharp with a decent blade length, for me a pull saw allows a straighter more controlled cut on wood. My old saw has been used in the garden and now gets used to cut down cardboard .

Well made and does the job.
Solidly made. Cuts well. Not the finest of blades so not recommended for detailed work but that's not what it's for anyway. It's a workhorse and I rely on it a lot.

A very sharp and brilliant saw.
This is an exceptional saw which I use on the farm cutting branches and in the joinery workshop. It’s a joy to use . The good reviews it’s been given are well deserved.

Great value
I bought this in Nov 2017 for a little over £8. It's lasted over 6 years and still cuts reasonably well, but now could do with sharpening or the blade replaced. I came here looking for blades, but couldn't find them looks like I'll have to buy a whole new saw. That's the only negative point

Really sharp and useful. I use it every time I'm working with timber
Everyone should have one of these. It is so sharp and easy to use I have twice taken it down to Wickes, bought 3m lengths of 145x45mm timbers and out in the car park chopped them into manageable sizes for my car with this saw. The cut is done on the pull stroke which is so much easier than a regular saw which cuts on the push. My mitre saw will only cut up to 80mm so when I have been cutting 100mm sleepers and fence posts I just finish off the last couple of centimetres with this little saw and it takes moments and gives a really clean straight cut. Also, due to the flexibility of the blade you can cut in confined spaced. I trimmed off the ends of some shiplap cladding the other day rather than cut them to length in advance and it sailed through each one in seconds. For the price it cannot be beaten.

Wirklich genial
