Kryton's Tower: A Memory of Worlds Lost Book 1
L**E
I can't tell if the ending is cut off on purpose?
It may be a kindle thing but I cannot scroll past a point and I'm not sure if the story ends abruptly or if it's a bug and I'm missing something. Normally with such a remark you wouldn't expect a 4 star, but I think this ending is intentional, if not poorly spaced/delineated. This is a rare L on the part of Mr. Ellison, as throughout this novel there are perspective shifts and jumps in time that are all clearly marked or indicated, and in such a wonderful way that makes sense and does not break the flow of the story. I honestly do not know of a better multiple person first person perspectives (2nd person? I never remember what that is). When not done well it leaves the reader baffled and rereading parts multiple times through, and that did not happen in this book(aside from the end, as mentioned earlier). And that's just the perspective! The story and characters are wonderfully described, detailed, and made real in this book. I am eagerly awaiting the second book, and look forward to any other works put out by Randolph. A few grammatical mistakes or duplicated text, and one part near the end seemed to not make sense, but im not sure that isn't my fault, so I'd feel bad to say it doesn't make sense. As great as the characters were I can't keep names straight in my head, and thats just a regular thing with me, and there are a lot of characters we learn about and grow to feel for. Over all strongly recommend if you can get past the occasional mistake. The story and characters are going towards something incredible and I am excited to be along for the ride.
