Sunny Isle Lavender Jamaican Black Castor Oil, 8 oz

I almost never write reviews, but after two uses, It'd be silly not to share how wonderful this castor oil is. I purchased this product in hopes that it'd thicken up my hair and encourage regrowth (when I was about 7 years old - so around 18 years ago - I shaved off a patch of hair directly above my right eye. Thankfully it's usually covered by my part. While it did grow back it's noticeably thinner when my hair is pulled back.)Background: I'm mixed: 50% White, 75% Black and the remaining 25% is a mix of Black and Chinese heritage - so yes - my hair has many competing textures. I've been applying the Castor oil with a mix of meted coconut oil to my hair the night before I wash it. I sleep on it and after an intense shampoo in the morning I carry on styling as normal. Here's what's amazing: I'm now able to go 4 (!!!!) days between washes, it's intensely moisturized, glossy but not greasy, holds volume without sprays and other gunk and just looks/feels HEALTHY.Can I attest to the claim that it regrows hair? Not yet, after all it's only been a week. To be honest, my hair looks so good that I almost don't care.

This is my second bottle! I love this stuff I even love the smell! I have been mixing this with Coconut oil and almond oil and doing pree poo treatments 2-3 times a month and the difference in my hair is magical. It is so much thicker and healthier and glossier! I have Natural 3b/3c hair that comes to my lower back, however in my younger years I used to scrap my edges until the eventually fell out :( I can say this has thicked my hairline and I will continue to use

Makes the hair on my head shiny and silky, makes it feel 'heavier' too. After consistent use on eyebrows and eyelashes they look in better condition too, not sure if it actually encourages hair growth but it certainly takes good care of what you have. My second bottle.

I have used this product on and off for about 3 years. When my hair was relaxed 2 years ago it definitely helped in restoring my edges and there was a noticeable difference after 2 weeks. After 4-6 weeks they were completely restored.Now my hair is natural and I have started using it again, and it has yet again restored my edges. I have also have noticed dramatic growth and thickness to my hair, due to me now rubbing the oil into my scalp at night- as well as applying to my edges.I would recommend this product to everyone, and have done for a few years. It really works!!! It has so many benefits to the skin also. I personally use the oil infused with lavender as it masks the ash smell that u get with the original.

Due to a very poor diet my eyelashes fell out. I heard about castor oil and it was amazing. Then I heard about the "Sunny Dale Jamaican Castor Oil" which is one of the purest on the market. My eyelashes are now so long, I don't have to wear false lashes if I choose not too. I recommend this product if you're looking for high quality castor oil.

The smell put me off of this. It's smells of cigarette smoke when put on the hair. I managed it for about week and I could see a difference in my hair thickness in that short space of time. If you can put up with the smell, I would recommend

I bought this specifically for my sparse eyebrows and eyelashes following chemo a few years ago, only to find the label says DO NOT USE for either. Other brands, including their own "Extra Dark Oil" stipulate it can be used for this purpose. I really think this should be made clear in the description. Hardly worth the cost of sending it back so will have to keep it.

Works like wonder on my hair, only after 2 uses I already see less hair coming out from my comb/after shower. I shed quite too much so I am really delighted to have a product that works (finally). My hair feels softer too. Never tried ordinary JBCO so don't know its smell. But this one is fine for me as it is scented with Lavender. The only problem for me is to figure out how to wash all the oil as castor oil is really THICK. Can't tell the result of hair growth yet but will keep using to see.

Love the consistency of the oil and the lavender scent.

l'huile de ricin noir, je ne connaissais pas mélangé à la lavande magnifique. Avant je trouvais que l'huile de ricin mélangé à l'huile de coco n'allait pas avec mes cheveux et les rendaient très secs. Néanmoins, le mélange avec l'huile de lavande est un le mélange parfait. Du coup je recommande pour la pousse et l'entretien des cheveux. Super produit!!

My hairs grown at least 2-3 inches in one year after applying this everyday and night w bonnet at night for one year! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!!! Has made my moms hair grow back evenly as well after stem cell transplant!
