This book is great. Made from a fantastic range of fabrics, well stitched together and with lovely, bright, simple illustrations. It's got a range of textures from furry to shiny and smooth. It's got a range of sounds too, crinkling, rattling and squeaking. The pictures lend themselves to all kinds of stories so no two tellings ever need be the same. It's also pretty light so baby should be able to pick this up himself easily enough. It comes with a large plastic "split ring" to allow it to be hooked onto pushchairs, car seats etc. When it gets covered with the inevitable drool/milk/food, just had wash it in warm water. Our little guy loves it - highly recommended.

Got this for baby and she continually comes back to it when rooty tooting through her toy box. Not costly and is mildly educational. Was a bit stumped making the goldfish noise for her.It's like the Giraffe - there's one in every book for kids, so you are going through the pages mooing, baaing, grunting, clucking, quacking - then up pops the Giraffe and ............silence. Baby looks at you waiting for the Giraffey noise - but there ain't one. They just eat trees. So you go ffffffffff hoping they believe you.Looks good now in the car instead of fluffy dice.June 2014 and have now removed from the car and passed on to second baby arrival who is now at the "scrunching the pages" stage. Have practised my bubble noise for the goldfish page, but to be honest, it's not very convincing. Has lasted well though so still have to give 5 star review.

Wasn't sure when I viewed it online as I thought it is very brightly coloured and busy to look at. My husband convinced me to order it and since it arrived I totally changed my mind. It's lovely and the different colours and especially the different textures of the pages make the book really appealing. It's a good size, washable and with squeeker, rattle and crinkly pages very intriguing to little ones. My 6 month old was interested straight away, to look at, feel and chew the pages. Kept him occupied for a good 20 minutes on his first flight! Top marks from me!

I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to say that this book is absolutely fantastic! It has been my baby's favourite toy since she was 6 weeks old and she is now 6 month. She prefers if over her other Lamaze toys by far. She delights in crinkling the pages which are also soft and light enough for her to put in her mouth. It goes everywhere with us and takes up little room in the bag. She loves bashing the jingly page and feeling the different textures. Although less well know than other Lamaze toys I would wholeheartedly recommend this one.

I like how there is a theme across all the pages in the book, teaching babies causal relationships between the pages.It starts with the sun, above the mountains, high in the sky... Then there's a moose in woods with a bird on its back... Next you see that bird in a close up, and the squeaker in the page could be almost like the chirping of that bird... The following page reveals a bear on the side of a river filled with salmon at dusk... Then you see a close up of that salmon in the water, the rattle in the page mimicking the rushing of that river water... tTurn the page, and now it's a scene at night, with an owl in a tree and stars in the sky... Lo and behold, the next page you see a close up of that star, with big eyes and a smiling face. Goodnight!My baby? She just likes to shove the book in her mouth.Maybe she'll appreciate it in time. Still, it's one of her favourite toys.

The book it's a little bigger than I expected, but it's ok.My daughter has only three months so she can not play with the book yet, but loves when we hold it before her and turn the pages and make out a story about the life on the forest. One think I love about the book before buying it it's that some of the pictures are connected, it's not a collection of animal pictures, it has some continuity, and every two page section it's composed by a big picture on the left page and a detail on the right page.The things that I was not expecting because you can not tell by the pictures here at Amazon it's that the textures are lovely and very different in every page. Also every page has a sound: the reindeer/bird has a little "whistle" that tweets when you press it, the bear/salmon has a little plastic box inside that sounds like coins chiming in a pocket, and the third and last one with the owl/stars has a cracking paper inside.My daughter also loves to chew a corner of the bird/bear page, that has some plush texture, and the book it's so light that she can hold it over her and grab the page to move it into her mouth.

I brought this for my baby who is due in 18 weeks. I absolutely adore this book. The picture just doesnt do it justice. The pages are crinkly, and so brightly coloured, the textures are lovely and the squeak and the rattle are great and at £4.85 this is an absolute bargain. I love feeling this book so I know my baby will love it even more when he or she starts to take notice of toys. I love it so much I will be buying my cousins baby one to. I highly recommend this soft-touch discovery book. Lamaze make the best toys, I also have Jacque the peacock and he is brilliant to. Lamaze toys have the best colours and the best materials to feel. Make sure your baby has Lamaze toys :)

Bought as a gift for a new baby. My grandson has one & it has been well loved. Useful to clip to a car seat strap or buggy

Mi hija se entretiene muchisimo con este libro, le encanta! Lo recomiendo a partir de los 4.5 meses ... le gusta mucho los ruiditos y el material con que está hecho el libro es muy suave, se puede meter a la lavadora perfectamente. Muy recomendable.

Sono molto soddisfatta dell'acquisto, lo consiglio e sicuramente lo ricomprerei.Il libretto è curato e ben fatto con immagini semplici adatte ai bambini ma belle e molto colorate.Abbiamo acquistato diversi libri in stoffa e questo per noi è il migliore. Le pagine presentano diversi materiali e giochini con suoni e la copertina scricchiola molto rumorosamente. Il mio bambino ci gioca volentieri fin dai 2 mesi.Ha anche un comodo gancio.Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Mi bebé adora el libro con apenas dos meses que tiene. En cuanto ve el sol de la portada comienza a sonreír. Lo tiene colgado en la cuna y mueve los brazos para tocarlo ya que la primera hoja suena como crujido al tocarla. En el interior salen diferentes animales. En la segunda hoja al presionar el pájaro pita lo que le llama mucho la atención. En la tercera hoja en el interior del pez hay una especie de sonajero. En la última hoja en el interior aparece una estrella cuyo fondo tiene el tacto muy suave.A pesar de verlo una y otra vez, le encanta cuando voy pasando las páginas y contándole los animales y todos los detalles coloridos que hay en cada una.Tengo otros libros de bebé de otras marcas más caros y no le gustan tanto y a mí me gusta más el tacto de este.Tengo varios artículos para bebé de la marca Lemaze y no tengo queja alguna de ellos ya que son atractivos para el bebé y seguros.Lo recomiendo sin duda.
