Ok, looked at the more expensive ones but couldn't justify spending that much. These seem pretty sturdy, a little fiddly to fit but once on easy enough to lift bike up and strap(Mondeo estate). Might be a good idea to check all fixings for tightness every once in a while. Seating channel for wheels may be narrow for some wide mountain bike tyres but I just strapped mine in tight and they seemed ok. Two sturdy straps provided for each rack. Frame clamp seems solid but may not suit a very deep framed bike, my frame is pretty hefty and the clamp does hold it, but as wheels are strapped I'm sure it won't be an issue. The clamps holding the channel to the car rack have a plastic piece to aid tightening and these may well go brittle in time but I'd just use nuts instead. Took me an hour and a half to get two racks on but I had to reset the cross bars on the car rack and then had to adjust bike rack again so the bike sat where I wanted it. I also used one strap to hold the arm down and prevent movement when not carrying bikes and other in the car ready to use. Overall I think these are a good product for the price and should last a few years.

I never leave reviews but these contraptions I felt I need to save people from wasting there money they are flimsy very difficult to assemble especially onto the car absolute waste of money. Pay that bit extra for quality you want regret like I have.

I bought 4 of these to attach to the roof bars of my Dacia Duster, so that we could take 4 bikes (2 adult and 2 teenage) on the 2 hour drive each way to center parcs. It took us about 1.5 hours to work out how the bars safely attached to the roof rack and they were quite fiddly. It took about 5 mins for 2 of us to get each bike securely onto the rack, but our bikes fitted on the rack okay, with no scratches or damage (and 2 of the bikes have quite wide tyres). The bikes lasted the journey there and back fine and remained secure. After reading some of the reviews, I was quite dubious/concerned about the security of the product, but I am really pleased I got this instead of spending shed-loads on a ‘branded’ bike rack. We are only sporadic ‘leisure’ riders and will not be using the rack every weekend, so I cannot comment on durability and excessive use.

These do the job but are clearly a cheap imitation of the Thule version. I am driving down to Mid/south France next week using one next to a top box. I will update on my return, hopefully my bike will return with me. The only issue I have is that the security feature of a keyed lock on the swing arm seems somewhat redundant given that you simply have to undo the retaining bolts that hold the racks to the roof bars and you can be away with a bike and the roof top rack at your leisure. Makes it difficult to leave the car alone in a services car park, I will be deploying extra security in one form or another.

Great serviceRacks do the job, I'm sure there are better racks out there but not this price, perfect for the occasional use I need them for.

This product is cheap and not fit for purpose....I ended up buying the equivalent from Thule.....much better.Did not feel safe with this contraption on the roof of my car. Currently sitting in my garden getting very rusty.Do not buy this cheap rubbish....you will regret it. I give it one star with great reluctance.

Flimsy. On first use bike has leant over, when you look at the uprights they are flimsy and attach to something flimsy. I don't expect these to last very well, and they were not the cheapest option. If you wobble the bike side to side the plates at the bottom flex.
