These are beasts!
If you’ve got the hardware to mount these to an engine, these are as secure and strong as you could want! Though I don’t work with diesel engines, I have no doubt these could handle the weight of an iron block and heads. They are certainly overkill for the gas engines I will use them on. That is a good thing!

Heavy Duty Lifting Brackets
Only 4 stars because they are not stamped with their rated lifting capacity. To those who question whether the 5000 lb capacity is for one or four - they write the same capacity rating whether you are ordering two, four or more, so I am going with "each." Even mild steel has a tensile strength of 60,000 PSI. I don't have an x-ray machine, but the welds look decent and I will typically be using them in pairs and for lifting 2000 lbs or less, so I am not worried. Even so, this is "Lifting Gear" and really should be stamped with the load rating

HOOK IT
I purchased these to do an engine R&R in an Infiniti QX56. I used bolts to secure these to the block and then chains to them and my engine hoist. They worked FLAWLESSLY!!! no deflection or damage after using. They were a good investment and at a good price. I'll be using them in the future for other engine removal/installation jobs.

Fairly happy. Great product!
The advertisement was a little vague. I placed and order for 2 sets, assuming it meant 4 pcs. In fact it was only 2 pcs. So I had to place a separate order to get another pr before I could do the job.

Alternative use but works for my need
Using these as an anchor point on a piece of farm equipment for securing to trailer. Used a carbide burr to open the mounting hole diameter to 5/8 and secured with Grade 8 hardware
