Just the treat after many hours on the trail
Dehydrated foods can be a bit bland and starchy in taste, especially some of the European flavours. I have found that many of the Asian flavours are more palatable and the green curry is a favorite. On serious treks I would recommend the 800gm per person variety

Surprisingly tasty
I took this on a lightweight hike and camping trip, and at the end of a long day this provided a satisfying meal. Some of the contents failed to fully rehydrate but I may have been a little hasty when tucking in. I'd definitely get more of these next time I'm camping.

CHEWY CHICKEN PIECES AND MARBLE PEAS.
THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY THIS FOOD CAN BE USED WITH COLD WATER, I USED BOILING WATER AND EVEN AFTER LEAVING THE PACKET CLOSED THE AMOUNT OF TIME OF 5-8 MINUTES AS ADVISED ON THE PACKET THE CHICKEN PIECES STAYED DRY AND CHEWY. THE RICE OR NOODLES -- WERE OK, THESE MADE THE MEAL A LITTLE MORE PALATABLE.THIS PRODUCT NEEDED A 10 MINUTE SIMMER TO MAKE IT EDIBLE,OTHERWISE -- THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A TASTY MEAL WHEN ON THE MOVE.

Good food. Satisfied
Bought it for gold DofE of my son. It was easy to carry and prepare and taste was also good. He liked it very much. Highly recommend. Price is a bit high.

Perfect for camping
Very tasty! The chicken was unbelievable for being freeze dried and the veg and rice rehydrated into a lovely meal

once you add water portion is quite large
Taste wise is so so, but certainly does the job in terms of filling you up and has right content of protein and carbs to keep you going in wilderness. Worked well in Namibian desert.

Fails to rehydrate properly.
The flavour of this is good but the chicken pieces fail to rehydrate properly and and up as chewy lumps which are pretty unappetising. I've had this a couple of times and even left it to cook for an extra few minutes last time, but still the same issue.
