Amazing value for money. I'm scratching my head over this a bit as I feel like I've got much more than I paid for. Bought this to replace my very old manual micrometer that I took apart to spruce up then lost one part.Looked on Amazon to see what was available and was tempted by the 'digital' versions. Decided to try this one because it seemed to have all the features I wanted, came with a case and was so cheap that it was pretty much one of those "well if it's rubbish I've only wasted a few quid" choices.Very glad I did as when it arrived I found ... a). The case is a nice solid, hard black plastic case fitted to the micrometer and looks like it will properly protect its contents. b). The micrometer feels pleasantly solid, the digital read out is clear and easy to read, the buttons are simple, clearly labelled and even colour coded to avoid silly mistakes and the device read my trial measurements quickly and accurately, the 'mm/inch' button converted the reading instantly. c). You even get a spare battery and an actual paper Operating Instructions' sheet written by a human being, (something that seems to be being ignored by many manufacturers).Now I'm just a hobbyist, not a trained engineer trying to work to thousands of an inch, but this thing seems to me to be an absolute steal.As I said at the start the one thing that confuses me is why on earth is this thing so cheap ???

Ticks all the right boxes for me. It is a good tool and has come in handy for what I needed.It appears well made and without any play or movement.

I bought this with the influence of some of the reviews in here and when I got this delivred in a very fast time and I was not disappointed with the product at all. I got a spare battery with the product and the lovely cold steel high quality feel of the caliper was very great to touch and use. The digital display was great and easy to read and glides and increments with ease. It come with a hard case that is sturdy and feels like it will protect your micrometer for a long time. The is a short instructions guide include and is great and simple enough to get you started and get the most from the day to day use. This is great value for money and I think I will have pleasure in measuring all sort of objects and be satisfied with accurate measurements.

Cheap and cheerful. It doesn't seem to be 100% accurate, but it's absolutely fine for light/hobby use and a fraction of the cost.The display is nice and easy to read and the buttons work well. It does feel like it's made out of quite a bit cheaper materials that my professional; one, but then it would do at the price it's set at.A nice bonus was the fact that an extra button cell battery was included.

Beautifully engineered 6" digital caliper.Stainless Steel construction gives it a solid feel; the digital display is simple to use and is far more accurate than I have been able to verify (+/-0.01mm claimed!).Slide the caliper open slightly then close and "zero" the display (especially the first time it's used, or with a new battery)The unit can measure up to 150.00mm; exterior, interior or depth: In addition to the standard (external)caliper, it has an internal caliper for measuring the internal dimensions of pipes, tubes, boxes or openings and a depth guage for checking the depth of screw/bolt holes or recesses in an object. A table of Metric and Whitworth bolt sizes can be found on the reverse of the display giving diameters, thread width, pitch etc.The case is sturdy and will keep the unit in good order if looked after. It's an idea to keep a supply of cotton wool/cotton buds handy for cleaning off oil/sweat marks and possibly a compressed air supply AF PC Spray Duster Invertible CFC-free Non-flammable 200ml Ref SDU200D for de-dusting: after-all it is a precision instrument and even a few grains of light dust can affect its accuracy. If the display seems off or erratic, I find a quick wipe of the fully extended unit with cotton wool and a reset ("zero") gets it back on-lineI would recommend keeping it, clean, in its case when not in use: inside the plastic sheath with its silica gel bag and with the battery switched off (spare button cell is included)NOTE: The device uses a capacitive sensor so it's important to keep it clear of liquids (including solvents) and not to move it into different environments: i.e. keep it in your garage, workshop, study where it won't be exposed to a rapid temperature change (which causes condensation). I found no problem with this however if you leave it near where you need it for 15-20 minutes before switching on (e.g. taking it outside on a frosty morning: don't ask???)

I bought this product knowing fine well that it was inexpensive and very basic but i just wanted this for general use nothing fancy. When i got the product the battery that came with it did not work with the item as the display kept fading in and out and the measurement jumped all over the place so i changed it and all was well, until i actually used it i put the callipers together and zeroed the display, when i measured what i had to i put the callipers back together but the display was not at zero it was at 5mm it did this every time i used them. When i tried to return the item i did not get very good feed back from the seller nor have i had my refund yet and this was 2 month ago!

As might be expected when these can cost upwards of thirty pounds, an elevens quid one is not going to be of the same quality, having said that, it does the job just as well, perfect for the occasional use, the amateur DIY'er or just coz you need to have an accurate measurement that one time when it's absolutely necessary, just don't expect it to last forever and you will not be disappointed. Comes in its own storage case, easy to use, costs peanuts, what's not to like...

La calidad es mejor de lo que parece. Es metálico y tiene pinta de ser muy robusto y preciso. Eso sí, resulta pesado, pero vamos... puedo con él sin problema :).Aunque no tiene importancia en precio, sí es un detalle: lleva la pila instalada y otra de recambio. El estuche tiene buena presencia.Aunque hay otros calibres más baratos, yo pedí uno (el más barato) por cerca de 4€, que después de esperar casi un mes (por venir de China), luego ni siquiera lo enviaron ni dieron señales de vida (el proveedor, porque Amazón me reembolsó el importe).

Au premier déballage rien à redire sur le produit qui me semble très correcte pour son prix.J'ai réalisé quelques tests, et d’après moi, il me semble correcte dans les dimensions affichées, avec peut être une erreur de 0,02 mm ce qui n'est pas dramatique dans mon cas. Je ne suis pas un tourneur ou fraiseur ;-)Donc dans l'ensemble me satisfait entièrement.A voir dans le temps !Si problèmes éventuelles je repasserai pour évidement me faire un plaisir de le commenter.

Habe dieser Messschieber gekauft weil ich mir des Verschleiß der Rennrad kette selber messen wollte. Es klappt wunderbar der Messschieber macht genau was es soll und das sehr genau und den preis war nicht zu schlagen.Sonst ging alles Reibungslos schnelle Lieferung und absolut unproblematisch.
