I can’t make waves with a straightener but this is so easy to use. Small sections of hair are slotted in and you can use the rotator or just turn the barrel yourself. Nice, gently, beachy waves. My hair is fine. Perfect styling tool.

I have a history of burning myself with wand irons; even with the gloves I can get my arm, neck, face.... The proposition of curling with 'hidden' irons was hugely appealing.I have fine thin hair and can never get a wave or curl. This is the only thing that works and its super easy. Only the portion of the curler the hair wraps around on the outside heats up ( the rest stays touchable and safe), that feature seems to make all the difference to curling as opposed than with just a straightening iron. As opposed to twisted tongs, Tyme style, that you have to hold in just the right position and angle and is so complicated you tube is full of lengthy tutorials - this is just hold it upright, put hair in - push button. Seconds later, spiral curl. It only promises waves so if you want it to do the job of tongs and create tight curls from root to tip stick with the tongs. Also if you have curly or rough textured hair I imagine it will jam and not turn. But if you have silky but fine hair that usually just gets annoyed looking at any type of curling attempt than this is for you. You get pretty waves at the top to loose modern curls at the bottom. Perfect for my shoulder length long bob. Thankyou Remington, this Christmas I have some chance at looking hair competent!

The Remington C1606 Curl Revolution is a curling tong with a difference. Unlike normal tongs which require you to twist them round to create the curls, this has a revolving barrel (hence the name Revolution), which makes it a much easier process.The instructions provided with the Curl Revolution are not overly comprehensive, but there is a video you can watch online to clarify the required technique before applying heat to hair! Basically you plug the Curl Revolution in to the mains (it is corded only, and can also be used overseas as it works on 120V too), wait a while for it to heat up - this seems to take about a minute and you can tell when it's up to heat as there is a red light on the relevant temperature indicator button which flashes while heating up and becomes solid once at a stable temperature. The tongs can be set to 160, 180, 200, 220 or 230 degrees C, and there is the option to lock the temperature so that you don't accidentally increase it during use (the buttons are located on the side of the Curl Revolution on the bottom section, so it could be done). Next you section your hair, having combed it first, and feed a section of between 1cm and 3cm width through the top of the device, making sure that the curly indicator side is closer to your head. Hold the Curl Revolution pointing upwards and hold the section of hair taut through it (don't forget - like I did! - that the tongs are very hot, so don't leave it on your hair for ages figuring out the angles etc), then move the bronze rotating switch in the middle of the wand either to the left or to the right. The barrel then rotates, taking your hair around it, letting go of the end of the section of hair should then pull it through, leaving you with a wavy section. It certainly is a lot easier than other tongs I have tried in the past, and would be particularly good for people who have slight issues with manual dexterity as it is almost impossible to burn yourself with these (skin, not hair - you can burn your hair with them).The device also comes with an attractive and practical satiny matching zipped case, with the bonus of having a heat-resistant lining for if you accidentally put them away hot.In all honesty I'm probably not the best person in the world to test hair curling devices, as my hair is really incredibly resistant to holding any sort of curl. The results of my experiments with this can be seen in my photos, and while the term 'curl' could most certainly not be applied to the results, I am happy with the waves and body it has created. In truth I could have produced much stronger waves by plaiting my hair or using a bun roller, but in terms of quickly adding a bit of body and shape to the hair (also some lift to my fringe), this is a very convenient, quick, and subtle way to do it. I do not believe that the Curl Revolution could produce anything but loose waves in any hair type, so if you're after spirals or corkscrews then this is not the product for you. For adding body, however, it's great.

I purchased this product after reading reviews and watching video tutorials. I liked it because it looked beginner friendly. The reviewers said you could get soft beachy waves, and that's exactly what the product delivers. There's a bit of a learning curve with using this product, between the amount of hair to feed and the angle, as long as you do small sections at a diagonal angle it works wonderfully. I love love love my hair with these big beachy waves! The tool also works even if you've just washed and dried your hair, and this way I can leave my hair like this for a few days. The curls only drop if you brush them through with a comb/brush, so if you leave them alone you can actually get effortless curls for 2 whole days. I usually wash my hair on the 3rd day so I can't say how long the curls stay in for, but 2 days of curls is pretty good I think. This was all tested on the second lowest setting (180°) because of my fine hair. I haven't tried the hotter settings yet. The curls might hold even better then.

I thought i might like these, being an ex hairdresser i know my stuff. Bou NO!! These grabbed my hair and burnt it! My hair is pale blonde.. i was so upset.Seller was diffucult to deal with as previous reviews stated they wont refund you without a fight! Took me 3 weeks and many e mails to get my refund, thank god i got recorded delivery and tracking as they wanted proof of it before they would refund me! Probably hoping i had no proof of posting! Wish i had read the reviews properly! Id advise you buy elsewhere if you want this item..give these a miss! Unless you have time on your hands to mess about with these!

C'est une fois ma commande passée sur le site amazon.fr (donc le site amazon France), que j'ai compris que le boucleur REMINGTON CI6060 Curl Revolution venait d'un fournisseur en angleterre; du coup, comme je le craignais, la prise du boucleur est une prise UK différente des prises européennes (donc françaises), il faut donc prévoir d'acheter un adaptateur (ce qu'Amazon pourrait préciser sur la fiche produit de leur site!!!
