I didn’t want to spend a lot because I didn’t know if she would enjoy this hobby
I bought this ruler for my mum who’s a beginner quilter, I didn’t want to spend a lot because I didn’t know if she would enjoy this hobby? As a basic ruler it’s fine, BUT it lacks the anti slip which the top of the range rulers have built in. I’ve had to buy some stick on anti slip circles you can put on rulers to increase the grip to the fabric, in the hope this will sort out the issue. For a confidant quilter who can place equal pressure through the ruler to prevent anti slipping when cutting with a rotary cutter, this is a great economic ruler.

Good Price
New to quilting so bought this as the price was good. My only real issue is I do find it hard to see all the lines on it. I am partially sighted so probably not the best option for me but didn't want to spend a lot of money if I found quilting too difficult to do. Thankfully that hasn't been the case and my husband has helped with ensuring the lines are where they need to be.

Too expensive like all quilting rulers
Why are quilting rulers so expensive? They are essentially a piece of plastic. However, no matter how much you shop around you do if you get the quilting bug you will need one of these. At the time, this was the cheapest one I could find. To be honest, with Janome branding I expected the plastic to be a little thicker especially for the money paid. It is quite bendy. However, it does assist me in cutting pieces of fabric accurately. Tip: I added a shower grip handle to mine to allow me to grip better. Much, much cheaper than the quilting alternatives that are sold. My handle impressed my sewing teacher so much she asked me to get one for her!

Metric not Imperial
Received a metric version not an Imperial one. Disappointing to say the least. Like other reviewers, the box it came in was almost laughable but I assume that Amazon have a limited number of sizes that they buy in huge numbers rather than a huge number of sizes in smaller volumes - keeps the cost down and customers amused. I much prefer the recycled scrunched up paper packing to that awful bubble wrap and the worse fluffy niblets - the paper is just right for cutting up and wrapping around apples for winter storage!!

Does the job very well
New to patchwork and quilting, it took me a while to get used to handling the template quilting ruler and circular cutter but this ruler does a very good job indeed. Holds the fabric down well as I cut, and the markings are easy to read.

very good quality
very fast delivery(less than 2 days) and came in good conditions. The material looks good and strong, it stays straight when you hold it in the air (to give you an idea)I'm a beginner so I don't know if it's good for more professional works but I like the fact has a good width so the fabrics don't move.My only problem is that I'm not use to think in "inches" so it takes me a while to use this ruler.

Always start smaller!!
Having an oversized quilting ruler is not always best when starting out. It was difficult to use unless shown the right way to use it. Maybe simple instructions on how to use may be of use to others new to quilting.

5* product, delivery & seller.
This is an excellent ruler. It has a good grip on fabrics and the rotary cutter glides along it smoothly, ensuring a sharp neat cut. It's depth of 0.5 is inaccurate the real depth is 0.4. This said it still ensures the rotary cutter is held in place. The price was very good in comparison to others, with no loss of quality.I ordered this the previous evening, it arrived 12:30pm the next day. Now that is what I call fast.Great item, amazing delivery 5* seller.
