Internal Aquarium Power Filter Fish Tank Pump 1000 LPH with 360 Nozzle Adjuster - AP-1350F

Researched before purchasing, already have a Hidom air pump which has been excellent. Arrived quickly and very well packed. Very simple to assemble - the filter chambers are already assembled, simply attach the pump head (it slots into the matching hole on the top of the filter assembly). The two pieces of the 'duckbill' outlet are optional - they do not need to be fitted if you don't want to, makes no difference to the operation of the pump. IMPORTANT: the pump head MUST be FULLY immersed in the water, to keep it cool. I bought this one for a 48" x 15" x 12" tropical aquarium, replacing a Fluval 4+ in which the impeller had worn over time (cost of an impeller was more than this filter). It has now been running for several weeks, the water is crystal clear with the pump in one corner of the tank. Cleaning is easy, the foam being easy to see helps a lot, simply switch off the pump, remove the filter chamber with the foam in, open each chamber and rinse thoroughly under a cold tap - replace in the chamber, re-attach, immerse fully and switch back on. There is a small hose included that attaches to the top of the outlet, this is a venturi hose, providing extra oxygenation to the water. Again, it is optional to fit BUT it does provide extra oxygen, and may mean you do not need a separate air pump. Air intake is simply adjusted by turning the dial on the end of the hose, which hangs outside the tank. Can be noisy on full flow, just adjust to reduce air flow and noise level.Overall opinion: it's a very good pump/filter, easy to setup, very effective in use, and very good value. I would have no hesitation buying another one, and have encouraged a friend to buy one for his tank. I have been keeping tropical fish for over 40 years, and have seen much equipment over that time. Recommended item for new or experienced aquarists, new or established tanks!

Bought this filter as temporary replacement but haven’t changed since and for the price I’ve been thorough some expensive ones.Quite clean and easy to change filters( which an are also cheap to replace. Bonus) I use this for my musk turtle which hammer filter systems an this one had kept up very well. Would recommend an well worth the money

UPDATE -It’s been less than a year and this filter has stopped working ( which is probably my fault as I forgot to turn it off when trying to clean it and probably fried the motor) so I ordered another one without hesitation as while it worked, it’s been fab! HOWEVER, the new filter is unbearably noisy, no matter what I do, where I place it, it has a deafening vibrating rattle! As my tank is in my bedroom, it will be impossible to sleep with this noise... I’m hoping this is a one off as the filter is so good otherwise... I may chance buying another to see if it makes a noise or not and will update.After my third new eheim filter stopped working within the last 18 months, I decided to just buy a cheap filter instead of wasting my money on expensive filters that keep packing up! (Goodness knows why they keep breaking as I only have 2 fish!) As this filter was cheap and was next day delivery, I thought I’d give it a go....It arrives with hardly any instructions, so all you can do is look at the picture on the box to work out how to fit the accessories - I have to admit, I’m still not sure how to attach the air tube so haven’t bothered adding it. The filter is quite long and as it has to be fully submerged, may prove to be too long for many tanks. The sponges inside the filter are also brightly coloured which may not be aesthetically pleasing to some aquariums. I was also alarmed at how short the mains wire was, I’m guessing it’s about a meter in length which wouldn’t reach my socket so I’ve had to find an extension lead!Once plugged in, the filter seemed very powerful though as all my plants are now leaning away from the filter, it’s also very quiet which is important. It remains to be seen whether this filter lasts longer than my previous 3 but I’m hopeful!

bought this filter after having problems with algae in my garden tanks ,after weeks of water changes filters pumps extra oxygen etc nothing was dealing with the filtration properly till i purchased this filter and just like magic the tank cleared over night it amazing what this filter picks up would 100% recommend this pump to anyone with aquariums wish i had bought this filter first would have save me so much time effort and money i now have 2 of these and my tanks run like a dream instead of constantly cleaning and maintaining i can now sit and just enjoy watching the fish who love playing in the bubbles and flow have read a few reviews about difficulty installing this filter which i didnt find attach the blue sponge part of the filter to the yellow part attach the top black part on top of both these parts the chute part lil black bit has 2 parts simply insert the chute part to the inter circle there are pre drilled holes to fit on to attach both these parts to the top front part of the filter remove the lil clear plastic stopper on the top part of filter just behind where you attached the chute and add the lil clear airline on to here this controls the air bubbles which are optional simply keep the air line out the water for bubbles and place into the water to stop the bubbles you can also adjust the flow of the bubbles but turning the lil black dial at the end of the air line and hey presto beautiful clear water would recommend for bigger tanks maybe 50l plus as this filter is strong and will be to powerful for small tanks if your looking for a filter id highly recommend this lil beauty for the price you are getting top rate filtration
