Do no buy, dangerous!!!!!
Please note that this is NOT a product for double coated dogs such as husky, Malamute, lasa apso etc. The product is dangerous and should not be used on ANY dogs to be honest. This is more like a shaver and it’s ripping the fur. It has left my dog in terrible state that we had to seek vets advise. Vet’s told us that they have had so many problems with the same or similar brand. Please be aware!!!!!

Just the job for a moulting yellow labrador
I have often thought of purchasing a Furminator in the past and now that we have a nearly two year old yellow lab, shedding his golden hairs in piles onto my kitchen floor, I recently got round to purchasing one. I am really glad that I did as he actually enjoys his sessions, and brings his favourite Mr Snowman toy to me for a bit of grooming for him too! I don't do 10 minute sessions as shown in the advertising but find that short sessions during his daily routine brushing does the trick and greatly reduces the problem. I like the weight of the tool that helps it to glide gently through the coat without using any pressure and the ejector button helps to release the golden bundles of undercoat easily from the teeth. For use on a Labrador I would highly recommend this product.

Miracle brush!
Sometimes you need to take notice of the fact that there are such a phenomenal number of good reviews for a product. This is one such time!I have a Kelpie who is a 365 days-a-year shedder, and the rolling dog hair clouds on my tiled floor had reached monumental crisis point this autumn/winter. Is it just our dog or is this a particularly bad year for shedding?!A groomer we know pointed us at this particular device, which we used within half an hour of receiving. You would never know that we ever brushed this dog (with something ineffective, evidently) if you had seen the fistfuls of loose hair that this furminator brush took off him. And since then? Well, the dog hair tumbleweed has stopped. A few loose hairs but no longer the need to specifically vacuum up dog hairs multiple times a day.So I therefore declare this brush a miracle. The dogs coat also looks beautiful too, since all the dull looking undercoat hairs have been removed. He is glossy, silky, and handsome.

Good tool
I have put off buying this for my double coated labrador who is now 6 years old, as I had read the negative comments about spoiling the dogs coat. I decided to try it and it really does remove alot of the thick fluffy undercoat. His top coat doesn't look worse for wear. I think you probably need to limit a bit how much you use it, as I think you could eventually cause bald patches. I don't use it more than once a week. I think it has been beneficial in the hot weather. I probably won't use it often in the winter.

and none have ever been particularly great. The FURminator gets the job done
Does a phenomenal job on my two BHLs (Big Hairy Labrador). We've been through quite a few different brushes over the years, and none have ever been particularly great. The FURminator gets the job done. It absolutely will not stop until all the loose hair has been removed from your animal.Quality build too; very solid bit of kit and feels like it'll last a good long while. My only problem is what to do with the mountain of hair this removes! Might have to start stuffing pillows or make a carpet or something!

Great for golden retrievers
We have a 16 week old cream golden retriever puppy and having never had a long haired dog before I hadn't frankly got a clue what to use to ensure a good groom. We decided to opt for the furminator and frankly on the first use we were impressed!I was a little concerned that the metal brush would hurt his little skin but used correctly he absolutely loves being brushed! Always use short little brush strokes we found. The amount of dead and lose hair it picks up is shocking. It really does pull out everything that is loose and you will end up with clumps on the first use! We use it twice a week and like I say our little puppy loves to have a brush. It also leaves him really soft again and looking very handsome!!! Very easy to hold and a great grip on the handle. I suffer with dexterity due to arthritis and I haven't had any problems using this. I'm just so glad I discovered it and took the chance.

Amazing
After seeing these in a pet store, I refused to pay nearly £50. I then found these which are identical to the one in the pet store and decided to purchase it. I am not disappointed! I have a pug but he’s silver and they are known to have 2 coats. When he starts to shed his winter coat in the summer it becomes a nightmare and this is absolutely fantastic. Easy to use, is great for deshedding his winter coat, he doesn’t get stressed out when I use it as stuff I’ve tried in the past did. Absolutely fantastic and a great price too! Would recommend!

Works beautifully
The effect of using this furminator brush on my long haired miniature dachshund has been pretty impressive. We brush her regularly, but when she's moulting the fur still seems to come off everywhere - and she has such fine fur the bits she sheds seem to tangle really easily in her coat. This brush seems to pick up more fur than anything else, without causing pain or distress, so there's no more coughing up of fur balls, or behind ear knotting, and far less fur comes off on clothes, furniture and carpets.
