Just as I wanted lights for my garden that do NOT have a multi flashing option.

Ordered two of these to light my 6ft Xmas tree. Arrived well packaged and on time as I've come to expect from Amazon parcels.Upon opening, packaging is a simple well detailed box with the necessary mains transformer inside with the usual electrical warnings.These LED strings are extremely bright and are a very simple circuit, coming in 4 colours (Red, Green, Blue and Yellow in a repeating pattern). The string of LEDs can be removed from the transformer as necessary, however there is no inline on/off switch or other controls. The length of the cables is more than sufficient to cover just over half of my 6ft tree with plenty of slack to reach a nearby power socket.The bad:Upon lighting both sets off a surge-protection strip (tried and tested from my PC workbench) after approximately 3 minutes of use, one of the sets light output dropped noticeably. After a few seconds it gave off a loud pop and emitted a foul smell consistent with fried electronics. I immediately unplugged the transformer and had a sniff - although completely sealed the smell appeared to have come from the transformer itself.When re-plugged in to the mains the LEDs began to flicker noticeably and never returned to full brightness. I also tested the affected string in the transformer for the other set of identical LEDs and found that they returned to fully working status so I can comfortably assume that the transformer failed and not the LED strings.I cannot fault-find beyond the above and am in the process of getting a refund for one of the sets, the other currently still working fine with its original transformer however I am reluctant to leave them running unattended for any length of time in case of combustion and fire risk. I have been unable (and unwilling) to disassemble the faulty transformer to ascertain which component has failed.I would consider connecting the LED strips to a suitably rated (and reliable) aftermarket transformer if I owned one.

Maybe unusual to purchase these early February, but I have a conservatory with blue decor and already have some blue lights around the edge, they only go halfway round though. Looked over Christmas but couldn't find any suitable. I thought I wouldn't get any now being as it's nearly 7 weeks since Christmas. Decided to send for these. Very pleased with them. The blue is even brighter than the original ones and they shine so bright it lights up my 25' conservatory a treat. You can't get 100 LED string lights anywhere, the only ones I have seen are usually 40 or 50. The price is very reasonable. When I opened the box it has a rather odd looking plug until you realize its like an adapter with a screw connection. Much neater and takes up less room than other plug adapters, which all have a rather big plug that seems to go over into another socket especially if using an extension.I was a bit worried at first in case the plug wasn't to our standard size as it seemed to have smaller prongs,but no it IS the right fitting plug. If you are looking for some blue lights for parties, weddings etc., these are well worth the money. I use mine at night time all year round they shine through my windows onto the patio and look lovely I get plenty of compliments. Only wished I had purchased these in the first place and saved on time and expense buying others!

Just the job. 1 box did the tree. beautiful lights. Highly recommend

These are really nice, proper warm white colour. The ones on the left are these lights. You can see the nice candle glow colour against the carpet. The ones on the right are from argos, advertised a warm white too but they are really white and so bright my eyeballs felt like they had been burned when i turned them on. These lights by contrast are a gorgeous traditional soft warm white and i love the fact that they are simply on or off. No migraine inducing mad twinkles and flashing.

Appear to be good quality, used at xmas, will see what they are like this year, when I get them out again. Used for hearth mantel.

great to use for outside lanterns rather than candles
