Couldn't Get Good Finish On Rocks
I bought this to give my painted rocks a professional looking high gloss finish. Having never used art resin before I didn't realise quite how tricky it would be to get a good finish. The rocks had areas that had resisted the resin and looked pitted. Also underneath was not a good finish despite sitting it on a shiny surface as recommended by others who use art resin to seal their rocks. Also even after brushing it on thinly, it did have some areas where it dripped. It could well be that my inexperience with art resin is the problem, but it has put me off trying again, especially as it takes so long to dry. Some parts of the rocks looked really great with a lovely shine, but the imperfections spoiled it. Would not recommend for using with rock painting. Now to find another use for all the art resin I have left!

Great for both Art and small river tables.
This resin is superb and I have used many, The total cast starts to go off relatively quickly (several hours) so you can layer it up quickly if required. Bubbles in the resin were non existent even without any pressure pots or vacuum.I genuinely can not fault this resin and I have now purchased 2 times. Highly recommended.I will soon purchase there deep cast variant for deeper poor of up to 5cm.

Not good quality and have to use that much it works out VERY expensive
This product is a nightmare and believe me I have tried EVERYTHING! It doesn’t create an even finish which if it was self levelling it would do naturally. There was less in one bottle than the other and I was told by the company this is normal as one weighs more but what this has meant is I have some left in one bottle while the other is now empty. You have to use two or three times of applying resin then set then apply again before it’s remotely even. I have followed the instructions to the tee yet still it doesn’t work out well. I’ve spoken to lots and lots of people who use art resin brand and none of them have had the issues I’ve had. Due to finding out even non Toxic resin have health implications with fumes you can’t smell but that do affect you I am not going to use resin anymore anyway. However I wouldn’t recommend this brand if you do. The company aren’t 100% helpful, their customer service sits around 50% which isn’t great. Companies like Arteza and Apple have 100% wonderful customer service and this company would do well to learn from them.

Disappointing. Wouldn’t buy again!
I spent £30 thinking I was getting a fair amount but then realised when it arrived it was a tester! It’s ok- not the best I’ve used. It bubbles quite a lot and the finish is inferior to other resins I have used. This feels almost rubbery rather than brittle so it’s not great for flower casting. The resin and hardner are both thick so bubbles are inevitable really...I wouldn’t buy it again and it’s expensive for what it is!!

Good for pouring, not great for casting.
As this resin is pretty expensive, I just bought a sample size to test it. I desperately needed a nontoxic, clear casting resin that, like polyurethane resin, produces a glass-like finish. I couldn't find any examples of TotalCast being used for actual casting so I asked the company if it was suitable for casting in a silicone mould. They said it was but suggested testing first which I did. Unfortunately, the lovely shiny finish achieved with pouring this resin onto a flat surface such as a canvas, was lost with silicone mould casting. I tried it with both types of RVT and addition silicone moulds. But both test pieces had cloudy dull finishes. Yet strangely with both examples, only the sides exposed to the air during the cure were shiny and clear. If anyone could recommend a good non-toxic clear casting resin that works with silicone moulds, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Amazing!
I have bought this twice (both times 4kg) and they last for ages! I will buy this every time I run out, really clear and have never had any problems! I use this to make wall hangings and paperweight and other little ideas I can think of. It’s one of the cheapest I’ve found and they arrive with a stirrer which is really handy. Highly recommend

Not what I was expecting
The write up suggested it was a kit with no measuring this was 2 bottles and a stirring stick and yes you do have to measure it out and mix it but the quality is good non the less
