We have a very big dog next door.. and from the reviews I read it was understood that it works better with deep barks. Well.. yes it works it goes off every time he barks.. but he is quite stubborn! I do think it is working though.. because of what I read about the batteries not lasting long what I do is bring it with me each time I go out in the garden. Either he is just getting used to us or it is working because he is barking a lot less.. and I haven't heard him growling which is nice. I don't want to stop the dog being a good guard dog for them.. so that is why I want him to realise that its just us he cant bark at.

Not effective on big dogs
I like the product, my dogs seem to notice the noise however it does not stop them from barking.I have a Golden Retriever and a Belgian Sheppard lab mix, maybe the product is more effective on smaller dogs as it was recommended to me by a friend, and it resolved her problem.

High Battery Usage
Goes through batteries very quickly. Will be quite expensive to keep long term due to having to purchase 6 x AA batteries every few weeks.Currently cannot confirm if it solves my problem.

Worked really well for first day or two on my ...
Worked really well for first day or two on my lot but then started going off every time a noise was made, dogs have now got that used to the sound it does not bother them, gutted as I have four dogs and thought I had found something that actually worked!!

A real disappointment!
To start with, this worked extremely well, but the first sustained downpour caused this, supposedly, waterproof item to cease functioning. We gave it the benefit of the doubt-it rained very hard-and ordered a second, but, after barely a month, the same thing has happened again. We're disappointed and frustrated.

Works
Was a bit sceptical of this product but after one nights use I was impressed did exactly as it should and my 2 collies never barked once after there first attempt, after years of interrupted sleep because of my dogs we how have harmony, would say that doesn't work on all dogs one of the smaller ones tends to ignore it but she doesn't bark through the night, might be handy if it had mains power and battery capabilities.

The dogtek isn't working the way that I hoped it would. The dog next door doesn't seem to be affected by the sonic sound.
