Come for the recipes
I liked this book. I think there is a lot of good information here. However, I wish there were more photos of the plants that are edible. I am a complete newbie, so I do not know what these plants look like. But, there is a lot of information presented on the plants, like how to grow it, how to find it, etc. So, if you are familiar already with what purslane or nettles look like you will have zero problem with this book. You will gain a lot of knowledge from this book. The part of the book that really shines is the recipe portion. If you find yourself with foraged plants but have zero idea what to do with them, then this book will help you with that. There are teas and elixirs, there are salads and foods, and there are also face serums and lotions. So, there is a little something for everyone. I found this section of the book supremely helpful.

Not bad, but not ideal
The cover says "The most complete guide to locating, identifying" but there are zero pictures of the wild plants used in the recipes. There are a small few photos, but they are all small and black and white. The chapter on "Identifying" doesn't even go over how any of the plants actually look, it just tells you a basic "do" or "don't" based on smell and taste - yes, tells you to TASTE the nuts of a tree to "identify" if it it is edible, which from experience and from historical expertise is NOT the safe way to "identify" an edible plant. The recipes seem good, and while it's good to know a general edibility identification method, it's impossible to tell which ones are actually edible if you don't have a photo. For instance, Stinging Nettle (which is good for a food source plus helps with allergies) has a very near-identical relative called Woodland Nettle, and if you didn't know that Stinging Nettle's leaves stagger, you'd accidentally pick Woodland Nettle instead, which is poisonous - not so much to the person eating it, but if you are a nursing mother, the toxins would leech out into your breastmilk and kill your baby (or any nursing mammal).Do I think this book is worth buying anyway? Yes, because most foraging books tend to have at least one piece of info different from each other. At the least, it's a good reference book to keep at home. But when you go out to actually forage, take a different guide with detailed photos of the top and bottom of the leaves, the flowers, the seeds, the roots, where the natural habitat is, and preferably pictures of it side-by-side the toxic look-a-likes.

Title is a bit misleading
Pretty good book, but definitely lacking in pictures if you’re looking for a guide to identify wild edibles like I was. Forager’s Harvest Bible is a bit misleading. On the other hand, it does contain other useful information.

Black and white
Very disappointed that the photos are in black and white. Especially when they are talking about some berries are poison. Very sad. Not sure I will keep the book at this point.

Recipes/Identification
Recipe wise this is neat and a solid read. the rest...dubiouslot of interesting info, and theories. Universal edibility test? Hold to your elbow if it doesn't smell bad after don't eat. Kiss it, wait 15m for reaction, eat the 'nuts' and wait an hour for stomach distress… not great identification pictures IMO other than in recipes. 100 pages, quick read and some chuckles or may embolden a few.

Not for newbies
The book has a lot of helpful information and several recipes. However there are no visual aids (yes I mean pictures) to help you actually identify the plants being discussed.Pictures for each plant identified and discussed would make this a 5 star review and a great handbook but without them its a bit of a letdown.

Actually arrived ahead of time, and placed in a secure location..!!
Was very pleased to receive the book ahead of time. The nature of the product generated a buzz in my minds eye, regarding testing it out, kind of a ‘hunter / gatherer’s mentality. Initially pleased..!!

Dissapointing..
The media could not be loaded. Very disappointing. The “Books” are tiny 3-5 page write ups without pictures, not even enough information to be called a pamphlet. Do not waste your money there are way better resources.I will be returning this asap.

Not Detailed
No photos, no descriptions so if you are foraging you'd likely get hurt trying to find the correct plants. Way overpriced for what it is

Misleading
Not what I expected from the description.... no pictures to help identify the plants.... lots of recipes. I am not happy with this purchase.

Lightweight
When I saw Bible I was expecting something more comprehensive. Too much of it is recipes and insufficient colour for identification.
