TrixieTX2 Automatic Food Dispenser, 300 ml/ 27 × 7 × 24 cm, white – Black/white - 24372

I ordered this to replace an old CatMate dispenser which finally gave out after several years of use. This dispenser arrived quite quickly (I used Amazon Prime delivery) and is really straightforward to use. I've used this several times (including testing it before going away) and have had no problems with it opening on time. My two cats prefer dry food so I haven't used the freezer packs, but it is very easy to take apart and clean. They usually eat out of a twin bowl so don't have problems sharing a bowl, but you could also set the two bowls to go off at different times over 48 hours if you only have one cat, or have two cats who get too hangry to leave with only one meal each over 24 hours. I'm not a huge fan of the speckled white "pebble" effect pattern on the lids but that's just personal preference. The only thing to note is that it doesn't come with batteries, so make sure you have a couple of AA batteries to hand. When I'm not using mine I take the batteries out (as otherwise the timer keeps ticking even if it's not set) and store them with the freezer packs under the lids. Would recommend

We bought this to use when we go away for a night.We took the advice in the paper instructions and fed our cat from the feeder, just as is, for a few days to get her used to it, before trying to use the timed function. She took to it quickly and was quite happy to use it. As she has three meals per day, this gives us the opportunity to give her a meal just as we leave and then put two more meals in the timer.We have only tended to use the feeder for dry food, although two freezer packs come with the feeder to keep wet food fresh.Although you need to use batteries - one for each section - the timer function is more of a clockwork arrangement and a small, low ticking sound accompanies this. Imagine one of those old fashioned kitchen timers, reasonably accurate, within 15 minutes or so.Recently we went away for two weeks and, instead of putting our cat in the cattery, a friend came in once a day to check on her and feed her. The timed feeder came into it's own, meaning that our friend could give her a pouch and then leave two dry meals in the feeder. It worked very well, batteries lasted (we had left spares just in case) and our carer found it easy to use.Would recommend.

These do what they are meant to do. Cat was ok feeding from them from the start. Work well and the little ice pack is a neat addition.Issues such as they are...1. They are pretty noisy. The timer mechanism is a pair of battery powered clock mechanisms rather than a clockwork wind up type. So they tick-tock. It’s loud and there are 2! Once the lids open, the timer keeps on going. It’s a battery powered clock...So in a quiet house, all you can hear from the kitchen is Tick-tock, tick-tock. You can’t switch it off. Does not matter much if you are using these as a solution for a night away.2. Put the ice packs flat in the freezer. I had them upright so they froze with the gel at the bottom in a lump. The lids won’t close if the ice pack is not flat!Great device though but if you or your cat likes quiet, try something else.

Battery operated so no cords lying around prompt delivery. I went for the larger size TX2 I am pleased that I did as the compartments are two sizes [one is length 13 cm width 11 cm depth 3 cm] - which fits into the main compartment length 14cm width 12cm depth 5cm. One fits into the other. Just the right size for my cat, and her treats. nice and very easy to clean. Ice packs included. The timers are so silent I wondered if it was working properly! Silent mechanism. When you turn it over to fit the battery's [not included 2 x AA required] You can see the internal movement of the mechanism. My hearings not to great and I cant hear it at all. I have tried the timing system many times and it has not failed to open. Nice smooth virtually silent opening. My cat has already used it, she is happy with it. It came very clean and no nasty plastic smells. It is an egg timer style clock, which is divided into hours 48 in total. The timers (2) silently rotate, and then reaches 0 with a 2 millimetre opening, that eventually releases the 1 millimetre pin, this allows it to open. The instructions warn you if you want it to open as 12 set it for 10 Couple of slight issues. No off switch. Its either open, or timer set to open and it is on. I've just removed the battery's, its not a big issue. I am just using it for my cat. But If I had an eager puppy or a 'havago dog' I don't think that it is built for claws pulling and trying to open it.... I have done quite a bit of research using the feed back info on the many, many other food dispensers out there.. This is BY FAR the one with the best food size compartments, and much less complained about compared to the other options out there. I bought this product based on product, not price and if I had of needed to do I would have paid more. I truly recommend this product to cat lovers.

We bought these before when they were the old style with black bases - they were great, but broke easily if knocked, so the lids came off. We got a good couple of years out of them thoughWe ordered a new set, and were pleased to see that the new ones look more study - BUT THEY DON'T WORK.Twice we've come home after a weekend to find they've not opened, and been greeted by a hungry cat. I've tested them since with brand new batteries, and they just stop ticking within a few minutes! Completely unacceptable. Really disappointed, as the previous set were a game changer.

I’ve not used this yet but have tested and it seems to work fine! One thing to note is that the product I received needs just one AA battery not 2 as described in the product info.After asking the question on here I seem to have been delivered a different model to most and do not have the option to use one battery for each compartment to use them individually so they both need to be in use/on timer, which is annoying!

This works pretty good so far. I've been using it for about a week now and it opens like it's supposed to. The icepacks need to be a little bit bigger, they only cover about half of the bottom of the dish so they don't last that long. I definately wouldn't trust anything that needs refrigerated in it for 48 hours. I also wish the removable trays had lids so I wouldn't have to keep using cling wrap to cover them when I prep my dogs food the night before to refrigerate it overnight. And I'd like the timer to remain on zero instead of constantly moving even after the lid pops up.

My cat actually left me alone at 3 AM in the morning for the first time! This worked great! No, the time is not exact because it’s not digital so that’s understandable and that didn’t bother me. You can only hear the ticking if you have your ear right up against the machine, and when the lid opens, it’s barely detectable, except for by my cat’s super hearing. The ice packs melt really quickly so you know it’s great for feeding them once during the day or overnight, but not really for the next day.

Gut, günstig tut was es soll. Schade dass ich keinen solchen Automaten gefunden habe der analog ohne Batterie auskommt. Der hier ist gut. Mein Kater bekommt um 5 seine Mahlzeit am Wochenende und ich kann ausschlafen.

Nos ha resultado muy útil. Tenemos una casa se campo y un perro demasiado glotón. Teníamos que ir todos los días porque si le echábamos comida para varios días se comía todo el primer día. Con esto le dejamos la comida más repartida a lo largo del día o incluso para el día siguiente. El mecanismo es sencillo, espero que nos dure mucho tiempo
