They are just perfect. I'm new to crochet and have painful hands so I needed to buy hooks that are a little thicker so I can grip them better. The tips of the hooks are great, the yarn slips over perfectly with no snagging etc. well worth buying, especially if you have such things as arthritis in your hands and have bother with gripping.

I have some lovely crochet hooks in my bag of tricks that cost twice as much each as this set of 9 soft handled aluminium hooks cost. I have used three or four of them so far. Hooks are very odd as what it says on the hook does not necessarily apply in use. These are a little crude in manufacture in that the hooks are on thick stems and are rather shallow with a tiny bit of roughness under the odd hook. At this price I am happy to use a nail file to smooth things over and adjust the way the hook works.The bottom line is that they are colourful and easy to use and suit my hand (large for a woman) I was hooked on Clover but the handles are rather short for me and my hand got cramped. I switched to wooden and bamboo hooks as they were longer and lightweight. These are a good weight and have a long grippy handle that does not slip when I get a burst of speed on. I will probably lose one or two and buy another set as I mainly use 3.5 mm 4mm and 4.5mm

Brought these hoping ergonomic would be more comfortable to use but rubber handles rubbed my hand and I've ended up with more pains in hands, wrists, elbows shoulder! Rubber makes the hook too large to hold. Just brought a normal set of hooks to use instead!

I'm just learning to crochet and these are brilliant. Comfy to hold and nicely made. I'm really happy with them. If you're looking for a first crochet hook set get this one, it has all the hook sizes you need to start crocheting. can't see myself needing to buy any others:)

A great value set of hooks but the smaller hooks bend very easily if you're doing small and tight work. I'd still recommend it as a product if you're either starting out or need a back up set of hooks. The larger ones are absolutely fine and the metal goes all the way through the handle unlike some of the other cheaper sets (which then break easily). If you want smaller ones fork out for the steel ones.

Oh, my goodness, I so wish I'd had these years ago. How often has your crochet hook slipped down the back of the seat? How often have you screwed up your eyes to see the tiny size numbers etched into the hook? How often have you got cramp from gripping the tiny hook? These solve all those problems. They are really comfortable to hold and the colours are distinctive. I've kept the plastic holder even, because it is strong and clear. Recommended.

Clumsy and uncomfortable to use. I am far from being a crochet expert but I found these did not enhance my desire to persevere. The metal surface is rough and kept catching on the yarn. A shame because I like the idea of instant identification of coloured grips to hook size. However at under a fiver, free delivery on Prime and arriving the following day I am reluctant to complain. You get what you pay for.

For the price excellent value cannot go wrong I use these as well as some of my more expensive ones and I like them just as much. Anyone on a low budget buy these. Arrived in a plastic case all different colours only gripe I have is that they only have mm size on them not American size as I use a lot of American patterns I've used a marker pen and put the sizes on my hooks so no more working out or googling it.
