Excellent Battery Shaver
Excellent travel shaver purchased to replace my Braun (which I dropped on the Floor)! Smooth motor which gives me a quick freshen up shave - would recommend.

Excellent value for a good electric shaver
I was recommended this travel razor by a friend who had previously spent a lot of money on some very expensive electric shavers. His excellent advice which has been bourne out by my experience of the last three weeks, is that this cheap travel razor is as efficient as some of his expensive models. After years of wet shaving, the first couple of uses I was a little sore but my skin quickly settled down and I found I could shave with this easily and quickly, without irritation. It did miss a couple of hairs on my neck in particular but once I had learned the technique of holding my skin taught, that was no longer a problem. The shaver uses two AA batteries and I have noticed no slow down after three weeks of daily use. You can use this wet or dry. I have tried both but prefer the convenience of using it dry. It is easy to disassemble to clean using the supplied brush and cold water. I also use canned air to clean between the blades. You can also use a drop of hand wash to use the vibrations of the head to get a nice lather and rinse the head. The only negative I have found with it, is that the clear plastic guard for the foil can easily pop off leaving the fragile foil exposed. Take care with it, find a pouch or even use an elastic band to retain it and you should be fine.

Small and loud or compact and works
my view is compact and works. It is compact but that means is brilliant for carryin with you in a rush.It fits in the hand nicely.Uses regular batteries (AA) so you'll never have problems getting it powered. Is it as good as a wet shave? That's more complex. I have (over many years) found the ideal wet shave for me. My Gillette sensor (ancient but great) a shaving brush and the tub of lather of your choice. I am not a fan of the gels and foams etc.THIS gives me the perfect shave. HOWEVER, if you uses a cheap disposable razor and spray foam etc, yes you'll get a shave , but not as good. Same with electric razors. I'm sure there are great electric ones out there. But it bois down to this.this ticks the the boxes for the criteria I had.PORTABLE, REASONABLE PRICE, BATTERY POWERED, COMFORTABLE TO HOLD, GIVES A REASONABLE SHAVE. I'm happy.

Very clean shave
So far this is a very good product! DH emerged from the bathroom with a very smooth face. I believe its worked effectively and he said he'd definitely recommend it.

Disappointing & Lacklustre Performance
Despite trying the shaver on moderate facial hair, this model failed to do anything other than tickle the whiskers as I it rolled over the affected areas. I tried both wet and dry shaving and the outcome was still the same - not a single hair yielded to this thing.I wouldn’t trust this gadget to cut butter, let alone facial hair, which is a shame given the quality I usually ascribe to the Panasonic brand.

Very Good Basic KIt
The shaver was cheap, well packed both by the makers and the vendor, arrived on time and in good condition.Does it give a decent shave? The answer is yes...Just. I have typical "old git's" beard that needs doing once in 1 to 2 days with a good wet shave, and twice a day with a dry shaver. This device is no exception although it's slightly better than my "all the bells and whatnots on" German job that cost damn near twenty times as much. Instead of making a hissing or rasping sound while it's still got bristles long enough to cut, this makes a distinctive ringing or whistling sound, so you always know whether you're done or not.I tried it using it wet with proper shaving soap, and got the usual "red neck" syndrome. I'm not going to persevere with this mode of use because it doesn't give a better shave, so why bother?I bought this just for holiday use, but I'm currently using it full time because it's as good as anything else I've got, being easy to use and maintain.Clean it with germicidal hand soap before use as per instructions, it may save you from a possible skin infection.Over 6 weeks or 46 shaves later, and it's still going on the same Goldtops!(albeit slower). I've retired them in favour of a pair of old Ansman 2300mAh NiMh rechargeables. They're working fine.

Great but not strong
Great design, and does well to give a smooth trim of very short hairs. But it doesn't cut some of the short hairs and it struggles depending on the direction of the hair growth.

Sadly Substandard Shaving!
Unfortunately for me this was a bad buy, I gave it two stars because the built quality is decent. The shave itself was only relatively close, if you have smooth even skin. For me it damaged and severely irritated my skin as it was unable to shave close enough even when applying significant pressure whilst shaving. I was left with sections of unshaved facial hair and raised bumps and soreness due to the irritation it caused. I did give it a decent try, I used it on four separate occasions, tried a wet shave and on every attempt I was left having to finish it of with a razor. I would not class my skin as sensitive either, in fact it is quite tough and resilient. So for me its unfortunately back to the the wet razor shave.
