I lovingly gave (Knit-pal Wool Wonders /4 gauge,Medium) 5 stars! This yarn is gorgeous and soft on my hands!I’m on my 5th Afghan (tulip) with this yarn and while it does come with a few tied knots, uneven areas, it is a wonderful blend of 30% Australian Wool and 70% Acrylic Yarn but single ply.I have used alpaca in the past on projects and it’s more expensive and has similar problems.I will purchase again!!My projects call for 5 packs of 4. That is the only thing that comes to mind… buttery. The texture of this yarn, along with the color and appearance make a beautiful project. The ease of crocheting with this yarn makes you want to purchase all of the colors and just make everyone something. I’ve never crocheted anything with yarn like this. The performance and durability is unexpected. I love this yarn!

The thickness of the yarn varies and isn't even, with random knots tied into the yarn to connect pieces. It is soft though and the coloring is very pretty.

This yarn has a tendency to twist as your using it, at first I didn't like it then suddenly I realized it was making my pattern look beautiful. The way it twist into the pattern crinkles it a little and it is so pretty. I am doing the Alpine Stitch and it looks beautiful

The yarn is very soft. However, in one of the skeins I got there were four knots. Also there are inconsistencies in the thickness of the yarn. In some places, it is much thinner than the average thickness. Also, sometimes as I was knitting the yarn suddenly broke apart lengthwise and I had to undo my stitches so I could change the yarn. Also, I got the color of lily white and there was a lot of debris. There were short black hairs and pieces of straw? At first I tried to pull each of them out, then I just gave up. I don’t know if it came like this or if it just attracts a lot of debris, but that was slightly annoying.

This is y favorite roving yarn. The color change happens gradually giving a nice subtle ombre effect. My cardigan is working up very nice.

I will start with the one positive thing I have to say. The colors are pretty.Now on to the bad. There were three things I found wrong with this yarn.1. The weight is completely UNEVEN! As you can see in the photo, it ranges from the small end of a #5 all the way down the about a #2, which is horrible for my stitches.2. There were tons of tufts of un-dyed, white fuzz stuck to the yarn in various places throughout the skein. These were hard to remove, as they stuck out from the center of the yarn.3. This yarn is absolutely impossible to frog. If you make a mistake, it’s far easier to just snip it and throw the thing away as the knotting in previous stitches (even loose ones!) is beyond frustrating and certainly not what I’d expect at this price point.

I really was excited about this yarn and I loved the color but there are SOOOOOOOO many knots in the skein and the color transitions are abrupt. My biggest issue though is the thickness says it's No. 4 medium (Worsted Weight) but this is closer to a No. 3 light (so I couldn't use it on the project I had planned on), BUT it gets even thinner in some places and then thicker than a No. 4 in others. I purchased 4 skeins and I am almost through the 3rd so it was not just a weird one. Last problem, it is very breakable, one hard tug can pull the yarn in half, I know its one-ply but I have not had that issue with other brands. Finally, the yarn is pretty shiny, I'm fine with that but not everyone is and it's hard to tell in photos. On the plus, side, I do agree with the other reviews that it is quite soft.
