Not as good as I expected but it does have a positive effect.

My small wildlife pond became covered in slimy weed, and it looked really horrible. Almost as soon as I cleared it out with a net it came back. Most pond clearers need a pump and filter, but mine doesn’t have one as I have no fish, so when I saw that this product would work without one, I tried it as a last resort. I couldn’t really calculate the volume or size of my pond as it is an odd shape, so got the smallest pack and sprinkled half the powder on until it covered the surface completely. It clouds the pond for a day or so yes, and it says it will in the instructions, but then it clears, and it really works. I can now see the underwater pond plants that should be there, as they are unharmed, and my newts and toads seem happy too. Will definitely use again if the slimy stuff comes back. I really recommend this.

After using a blanket weed killer I was left with a residue all over the first ledge of my pond and cloudy water due to the suspension of waste material in the water. Went to my local garden centre and bought a couple of products that were supposed to "clear" the water. They worked to some extent but not good enough to be classed as effective. Tried Hydra Silt-Less with a good result. Used 500g as a first treatment and after 3 days a visible improvement could be seen. Steady improvement up to day 7 by when the water could be classed as perfectly clear to the bottom - 4ft 6in deep. Does what it says on the packet. A really good product
