Handy pocket size paints, vibrant colours and good quality. They were a gift but these aquadine paints are great value and are perfect for taking out sketching.

Wonderful quality paint. Haven’t tried a higher end like this but wow what a difference. The creamy, strong colour just glides across the surface and thins or builds as you need. While it is all about the artist in the long run I’ve definitely noticed a difference in the work.

I’m just getting started with watercolours and I already had a Winsor and Newton Cotman set but everything looked a bit washed out with those. I checked some reviews and these were rated by most people so I grabbed a 24 half pan set while they were £15.40. They are much more intensely pigmented than the Cotmans. They activate quickly and easily. They blend and layer beautifully and are a joy to use. The plastic box is light and slim enough to slip into an artist’s roll or a pocket to take out and about (if it ever stops raining for long enough). The range of colours is great, with everything you need plus plenty of “convenience colours” too. One minor thing is that the lid sticks to any half pans that aren’t completely dry - there isn’t enough clearance to prevent that from happening, and it would be inconvenient to have to wait for everything to dry out before packing up after painting en plein air, but a rectangle of greaseproof paper sorts that. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Brilliant travel set.The paints are highly pigmented and they flow beautifully across the page and the brush that is included is really great!The only downsides as far as I'm concerned are that the paints are not in standard pans, they are just a small chunk sitting in its own well which means there is nothing to secure it in there and they will fall out very easily.Overall though, I am really happy with this set, it does everything I need it to and the case itself is really nice.

Colours are right

Great to take away on hols. It is small but the colours are beautiful.

This is a nifty little tin with a good range of pigments. Lovely strong colour and dilute beautifully and evenly. Good price too. Highly rcommended

I have used Daler Rowney paints for many years and I have always been very happy with their quality. This purchase was no exception. When it was delivered I opened the tin just to take a quick look at the range of colours and closed it after a minute or two. About an hour later I returned to the tin to take another more careful look at the contents. This time, however, the tin refused to open and there has been no change in that situation since then. It is well and truly stuck, so it is completely unusable. As it has not been subjected to any rough or unusual treatment, I suspect this is a design fault so I am returning the product to Amazon for a refund rather than requesting a replacement.My faith in Daler Rowney products remains steadfast but I do believe that the design of this very attractive circular tin requires some serious attention, as it is not fit for purpose.
