Tropica - Large Snow Banana, (Ensete glaucum syn. Ensete wilsonii) - 10 Seeds

I had a packet of these Banana seeds from same company 3 years ago and only 3 of the 10 seeds germinated. I ordered another pack of 10 seeds this year and this time only one seed germinated. I followed the instructions exactly as described and have 50 years experience of growing a wide assortment of plants including Banana from seeds. I will try another suppier next time due to the poor results from this company.

Out of five seeds one gave me this amazing plant! The other just won’t grow any more and has since died 😔. The other three didn’t germinate at all. First one Took awhile to grown but once it gets going it won’t stop. I still have 5 seeds witch I will try in the spring.

I was expecting these seeds to be quite large as I grew a banana plant before years ago and the seed was much larger. These seeds turned up in a vac sealed bit of plastic and were tiny. There was nothing else in the jiffy, no instructions, no receipt, nothing. I consider myself pretty good at this sort of thing and grow seeds all the time. I tried 4 different methods, a heated propagator, a window sill tray with a clear tray covering, a sealed jam jar on top of a boiler and a deeper tray in kept in our conservatory with a large lasting bag over to create a warmer tropical environment.Nearly 3 months of trying later I've given up. I don't think I've read any feedback here of anyone being successful. Up to you of course, but I can't recommend buying these seeds

What a total waste of money!!.I have been in horticulture all my working life and have grown large quantities of banana seeds,for foliage pot plant production and have Never seen banana seeds quite like these. They look more like bird seed and are most definitely not banana seeds.The instructions and the description cards were not included,I have noticed this product is still on website but now under different name,was changed twice within 2 weeks with the same description as before. Why is Amazon still selling this product with so many negative reviews?

From the pictures, I was expecting a seed packet with large, dark seeds. I actually received a tiny Ziploc bag with small white seeds which look like they were made from chipboard, and a miniscule piece of paper with the name of the seeds. Nothing else - no receipt or invoice, no growing instructions - not even a "thanks for buying"They only arrived 2 days ago so no idea if they'll germinate or what they'll grow into but from the complete difference between what was advertised and what was sent, I don't hold out a lot of hope at all.
