It turns out the mat is very slippy on floor tiles and painted floorboards. No rubber underneath to help it stay in one position. Certainly not good for disabled people or people unsteady on their feet, while placed on a bathroom floor.You could use this mat however, as a towel instead, as it is the same material. In fact, I have towels that are thicker in quality.

There are not many smaller bath mats around that can be cleaned in the washing machine. This is one for a small shower area is ideal.
