Amazon Basics Mattress Pad, polyester, White, UK King (150 x 200 cm)

I searched for mattress toppers and this came up in the results. To be fair nowhere does is state that it is a mattress topper. A mattress pad which is over filled with loft-retaining material, compared to a standard thin mattress protector I suppose they have a point. The top material does feel really nice and soft and plush, the bottom material really thick and feels like it would prevent sweat from getting through to mattress, sewing is good too.I've found the softness to be no better, and possibly worse, than when I put a 4.5 tog duvet under bottom sheet. The number one reason I would not recommend this item is that when you lie on it the material in the squares moves up to the line of stitching and forms a hard ridge which is incredibly uncomfortable. With quite a bit of squirming about or smoothing with your hand it is possible to move them from under you. If this item was truly over filled and well padded there wouldn't be a problem.

We did not like the fact that it won't stay in place however hard we tug it around as it seems too small for our king size mattress. It is not unusually high sided but once the cover was put on it just seemed to slip over night and the side pieces that are meant to tuck in underneath the mattress, had almost pulled right out so the side of the cover was going towards the middle of the mattress. Quite upset that it doesn't fit properly as it looked as if it would do.

I got this on special offer so I only paid around 8 pound fifty for the king sized version even though it was to go on a double mattress. Thought I would just give it a go and send it back if it was too large.My king size topper fits perfectly onto the mattress edge to edge (I actually think the double size would have been a little too small as the memory foam mattress I have is very deep)Very happy with this purchase and the quality is as good as the pad that we got for my daughter's bed which was a lot more expensive from John Lewis.I would suggest sizing up if you have a deep mattress.

I wanted something to protect my mattress, as the cats jump up, knock the sheet and claws pull my mattress. It was cheap so didn't expect much. However, this is so lovely! It fits my bed very well. The stretchy sides ensure the corners and sides fit. The top is so soft! I was expecting just a plain cotton cover, but this is furry to touch! It's smooth and comforting. It offers a think layer of at least 1/4 inch, may not sound much, but adds such a cosy and comfy feel to lay on, and know it'll help with warmth on cold winter nights. Comes in a handy zip bag too. Box it is delivered in is rather large, so you will need to break it down for recycling. Really over the moon with this.

I only paid £8 for this in the Black Friday sale and having read some of the reviews wasn't expecting much. However, I was wrong and pleasantly surprised. The mattress protector fits my double bed perfectly and is soft, thick and very comfortable to sleep on. It was delivered before the expected delivery date and my only complaint would be about the size of the box it came in. It was huge and I struggled to get it through the front door! The mattress protector is well worth what I paid for it though and I'm considering buying another one for my daughter's bed.

wow !!! This is incredible. For the price I wasn’t expecting too much , it’s just amazing !! Really luxurious , plump and the best part is rather than the usual elastic straps which pull off the mattress (in my experience and trouble with our deep mattress ) this has a stretchy part attached like a fitted sheet which you can stretch or not to accommodate the mattress you have ,it comfortably went over our deep mattress.This is a genuine review , I don’t normally do these , but I’ve had so many disaster write off purchases I thought it was worth doing

Wouldn't call it a topper as a bit too thin but great as mattress protector. It's not very soft, more hard but top material is soft to touch . Best about it the fitting depth , goes over my 34 cm thick mattress very well! So sliding to sides. Value is brilliant

I don’t think that I’ve ever really bothered to write a review on Amazon before but this item is SO good that I had to.It fits perfectly on my kingsize mattress. It’s thick, soft and comfortable. My mattress is a bit old and was feeling really lumpy and quite painful to sleep on but this has made it feel like a brand new mattress. I lay on it for 5 minutes to test it and I’m still lying here because I don’t want to get up.
