First impressions are that this is really well made. It's sturdy but not heavy, easy to assemble and feels good quality. Only time will tell how well it holds up but I am pleased so far. As for the quality of light it produces, it is excellent. It is a lovely even light and the options available by having the reflector, inner silk and out silk make it quite versatile.

Had this a week now, and still not used it, but thought I'd leave a review on what I see so far.The build quality of this thing is top notch, and when its up, it looks the business.Looking forward to getting some awesome shots with it.I'll update when I have more to tell.

HelloThis is a great modifier to put up in an instant with all the ribs locating into position with a reassuring click around the inner 'collar' (if thats what its called) where your strobe bulb pops through.I got this for its compactness when folded to carry in its petite bag and importantly its depth when opened which is manageable in small studio spaces and on location unlike a ricebowl modifier. The silver lining kicks out some crisp light but remains soft when both diffusion panels are used. This is a spot on modifier for size, weight, putting up/down and portability.Bye

I had been looking for a small octabox for my kit for a long time and now I’ve found it - very happy with it!I’ve used it on jobs with the diffusers with a speedlite and bracket held by my assistant: gives beautiful soft light whilst being easily portable so we can move around without time to set up or taking space.With the beauty dish setup I’ve mostly had darkness in the center of the image with the speed lite but I haven’t tried it with a strobe yet.Quick and easy to set up and folds into the small bag it comes with.

Excellent product!I purchased this for weddings and location portraiture, wanting something portable and quick to setup up with great light quality, this defiantly does that. Its actuality become my main modifier now for product and still life due to the light quality and size.On opening the packing box you'll see the well made storage bag which is no longer than my messenger bag I carry around for location shoots. It has top loading access via the zip and a full length zip also. Managed to get the Octobox and speed light plus the grid, diffuser and plate all in.The outer diffuser is good quality, as is the inner diffuser, not the cheap white material you find on some soft boxes.When you fit the grid section you'll notice the thought thats gone into its design.The beauty dish plate is sturdy and mounts on two aluminium stand offs, the plates reversible.When I first put the Octobox up I struggled getting the rods aligned properly at first but I realised its best to open the little velcro sections up to take a little tension off then push in the rods. Its all built to a very good fit so I left it for a few hours fully setup just to stretch out the material and make sure the rods would align.Works every time now and sets up in five mins at the most with everything aligning properly.On white balance, I've found no colour shift and don't expect the inner white material of the Octobox to discolour over time.Before buying this I looked at the Westcott Rapid 20" as the more expensive brand including the Godox versions and the Spartan Octobox as alternatives but settled on this one as a local product and on recommendation from another wedding photographer, Very happy with the purchase!Looking to try out the Strip box next....Mount wise I got the Godox version as I could not see much difference in the Pixapro mount. Would be nice to hear any thoughts on it from owners.

I'd had my eye on the Pixapro collapsible BD for a year or so before I finally got one. I've just put it through its paces on a paid gym photoshoot with a speedlite firing through it, and I have to say it was an absolute pleasure to use.Although not quite as fast as opening and closing an umbrella, assembly and pack up is still pretty rapid; the little cylinder-shaped pack it comes in is great for transportation. The weight is a shade over 800 grams but most of that comes from the metal Bowens mount; it puts way less strain on my cheap stand and boom arm and is much easier to control in use than my old all-metal dish. Best of all, the quality of light it produces is very good, in fact I'd say it beats my (admittedly low end) metal BD, which I'm now flogging.If you're swithering between getting one of these or a budget all-metal dish, don't. Just get this one. At the price I paid (£65) it's a little more expensive, but that's more than compensated for by the convenience and ease of use.

Initially, I was satisfied with the beauty dish. However, it didn't last long as the rods came off and one of them punctured a hole in it.

Small and compact, very impressed with the quality. Easy to assemble and take down and fits in a good quality case, come with double diffusers and grid. Have since ordered more products from Pixapro and they are all very good quality at reasonable prices. They have now got my custom for everything lighting.

Esta muy bueno. Tiene bolsa de transporte muy comoda. Difusor y una parrilla de nido no hace falta comprar a parte, tiene todo.Soy fotografo de discotecas, para mi es mejor compra.
