Well made, and it works.
I didn't even know random orbit sanders existed. Everyone has heard of a sander - but this is a random orbital sander. Anyway - it's excellent. I used it to sand down a couple of bit of bumpy plaster on a wall I'd recently DIY'd. It covers everything in dust and set off the fire alarms. But it produces an excellent finish - and didn't take too long for the relatively small bit of wall I needed to do.It also smoothed out parts of the wall that had paint on and parts that didn't.When I say smooth I really mean it - it's quite remarkable.

I think the Vonhaus 430W Sander is something to have to do most of my sanding.
The Vanhaus orbital sander is very easy to use and handle. I bought the previous model which was the 350W version and it worked really well on multiple surfaces. However, I sometimes feel a lot of paid in my palm and four arm from time to time caused by the grip and vibration of the sander. But apart from the it was worth the buy. Now, because the 350W Vonhaus Sander world cause me pain, the 430 model was the answer to this. It’s very comfortable to hold, it the weight is very balance and I feel very little vibration when using it. 👍🏿🔥🔥👌🏿I’m truly happy with this product. I feel I’ll be using the brand for years to come.

It's not the best of material but the handles are good and I ...
This is a beast of as machine. Very powerful and a bit noisy. It's not the best of material but the handles are good and I use it for rough work when I am starting to sand a big piece of furniture. I am not sure I would use it for anything too delicate because it seemed to have a life of it's own. Bear in mind it is cheap and if you want a good random orbital sander you should be prepared to pay that bit extra for it. I wouldn't use this as my main sander but it was useful when mine wasn't available. It does come with some freebies, sander sheets and buffing pads which have been useful. Don't think I would buy it again if my main sander breaks down. Rubbish dust collection bag- dust goes through it and they recommend you fit it to a vacuum system - I would agree

...i usually prefer to spend more on power tools but decided to take a risk and i'm glad i did.
Much better than i was expecting. It seems very solidly made and appears to be made to a good standard. I've been using it for over a year for the occasional DIY job and it works very well. Sands wood to a very smooth surface and has plenty of power. It's very versatile as well, I've also used this for polishing. It was a lot cheaper than a lot of the others, and i usually prefer to spend more on power tools but decided to take a risk and i'm glad i did. It's exceeded my expectations and is a brilliant tool to have. It's served me well this last year and i'm sure it will continue to do so for years to come. Would highly recommend this.

Very good for the price
I took a chance on this and bought it instead of the much more expensive Bosch, as this tool isn't something I'd likely use a huge amount, and actually the reviews on the Bosch suggested that there were plenty of problems with it even at two and a half times the cost.I was pleased with the general quality of the tool, and the number of accessories provided. It's noisy in use, but that's expected. Maybe a higher end tool would be quieter, but I've not used one so couldn't comment, and it doesn't really bother me; I just put on my ear defenders. I've hooked it up to a Henry vacuum cleaner through a home made cyclone (made from a plastering bucket with an MDF lid bolted down onto it and some plumbing bends, quarter filled with soapy water) and it doesn't seem to make that much dust.I did have a problem with sanding discs flying off, which I initially thought was down to the sanding plate on the sander itself, but it turns out is actually due to the weak backing on the cheaper sanding discs. I think the fibre loops on the discs are breaking under load - perhaps due to the heat generated when sanding - and they then won't stick to the sander plate anymore. Keep an eye out for flying discs, as it's quite easy to miss them going flying off and carry on sanding with the base plate only, which eventually will lead to it wearing out and needing replacement. Not a fault of the sander itself, though.

OK for sanding polish you car at your own risk
Got this as I could use it to sand some house diy projects and polish my car. Sanding is OK polishing your car is a no no as the pads are velcroed on, trust me it don't give you any confidence being stuck on as the pads just about cover the round disk.

Not bad, orbit stops
Not bad; but not great. Gets the job done, just. I used mine on a table top, sanding through 10 grits up to 2000 grit and then used the polishing function. Like another reviewer, my unit doesn’t have enough power to keep spinning in circles when applied to the material to be sanded, the spinning mechanism just seems to stop which makes it a vibrating hand sander, as the orbital feature drops off. It did the job, but it would be a faster process if the disc span when it was actually in use. Nice little kit, great to include polishing pads, just a shame it doesn’t orbit when applied to wood.
