PREMIER SEEDS DIRECT - Italian COURGETTE - Verde DI Milano - 20 Seeds (Organic)

Grew EXCEPTIONALLY well!. I planted two seeds and both germinated very quickly and within a month or so, I had 2 very large plants. I am currently trying out growing vegetable plants in a conservatory using a simple hydroponics setup. Unfortunately, I did not foresee these plants growing so well and using so much water/food so quickly, so before I could assess whether they would make any courgettes, they used up all their hydroponic media. Unfortunately, the hydroponic setup I am using does not easily allow one to refill the reservoir. Therefore, I decided to try again next year with either a much bigger reservoir, or within a continuously recycling hydroponics system, rather than to try to keep these plants going. The pictures attached show the plant after only 45 days - that's just over a month, and you already see the female flowers with the little courgettes forming behind!! Incidently, the big yellow open flowers are the male flowers.

Plants have grown successfully and very easily. Healthy and big. They have produced a huge amount of beautiful yellow flowers,followed by the courgettes. All of which have been delicious to eat. Perfect. Superb value for money.

The results were good, the seeds were cheap, and Premier dispatched them in good time. Nothing more to say. Recommended!

I am a first time gardener. I planted 20 and I got 15 to sprout. The size of the plant is huge (maybe this is normal, but as said, first time gardener), with huge leaves -very nice in the garden. I got by now (still some flowers left) around 4-5 kg, the courgettes are big and tasty, one had 0.98 kg and the rest more than 0.5kg. So, around 10 pieces by now. I have only watered them, no compost or anything as I did not have the time to take care of the garden very much this year. I will try again next year. Fingers crossed.

Germination rate wasn’t brilliant despite good conditions/temperatures. Only 3 out of 12. The ones that germinated appear to be doing ok at the moment, can’t really comment any further until later in the season

This is my first time growing courgettes from seed and I am delighted that all 21 seeds germinated within 9 days, and the seedlings are looking very healthy. Fingers crossed now that a bumper crop will follow, to make up for last year when the two plants given to me by a neighbour produced a measly 6 courgettes all season!

The most annoying part of planting seeds is to never get a plant and you become weary of some sellers and regret you never bought from them at all. But these seeds have grown. They are also all giving fruits. Although, there are still a few days before i can pick the first courgettes of the season -- even though i planted them later than usual, giving the bad spring we had this year.

The seeds are not courgette seeds. They have grown well but it looks like either a squash, melon or pumpkin growing. I am so disappointed not to have any cigarettes this year.
