This was exactly what was needed
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I took a little risk here as I hoped this wasn't too powerful.Although it is more powerful than my previous pump, it turned out to be perfect for this small water feature at full power (400lph). Thankfully, the short tube I had for the previous pump fitted this too, so I didn't have to buy a whole reel for just 100mm!The pump is surprisingly quiet; just a soft hum that is drowned out by the water flow (pardon the pun).I have no idea how long it will last, but hopefully it will give us a few years of pleasure - fingers crossed.

If you need a water pump for a small tank this is perfect
I have had a small fresh water aquarium for some 3 years. Cheap and cheerful all in one kit with combined pump and filtration/aeration system. The pump died last week and because of current Covid restrictions, I could not get to the local Aquatics store (a Summer visiting migratory bird!) - closed anyway! Researched on-line and absolutely nothing similar available. Saw an independent review of top 6 water pumps and this one was in there. Seemed ideal, but after looking at the reviews on Amazon, one of them seemed to infer that it was no good to attach to a tube. Took a chance and just fitted the new pump to the old pipe leading to the filtration system (about 9/12 inches) - absolutely perfect. Early days, but very impressed. Much quiter than my old pump and a great price too in my humble opinion. Did the job for me. Fish are happy and I would highly recommend this product based on my limited experience. Thank goodness for Amazon - and thank you seller for prompt delivery.

Powerful little pump
Given its small size I was a bit apprehensive about how it would perform outside in my new small pond but once installed I was pleasantly surprised. Having attached it to a ceramic tile via the 4 suction pads and placed it about 10cm below the surface the jet was higher than I expected so I reduced the flow adjustment to about half and it now produces the neat bubble fountain as shown in the photo. There's no filter inside the casing so the water intake grill will probably require regular cleaning but that won't be a problem for me for where its located.I've only just installed it and have got it on a time switch to run for a couple of hours per day so only time will tell if it's robust enough for an outdoor pond but at £15 if it lasts for the summer season it'll represent good value

Inaccurate listing. Fictional features. Superb Customer service
Bought to replace a Petmate pump in m,y DogMate drinking fountain (used by a Cat.) I bought this because in my experience the Petmate ones do not last any length of time whether they are run dry or not. I bought this a) because it is cheaper and because of its claims to 48 hour run dry protection and quietness. Quiet it is not, being considerably louder than the PetMate pump. The 48 hour run dry claim also seems to be fiction as there is not a single mention of it anywhere on the packaging or instructions. Another problem is that the power adjustment knob is solidly stuck on maximum which could be why it is so noisy. Installation is easy - it just goes where the original pump goes. It is slightly thicker so I had to loosen the clip - two seconds with a Philips screwdriver. It doesn't have the very useful make and break cable that the original had. I am, going to give it two days to see if I can put up with the noise. The seller responded to this review with excellent remedial action.

It does what it should :)
The pump is slightly larger than the Petmate one which we got to replace as the pet mate one became too loud and clogged up despite multiple cleanings and descaling. As it is slightly larger, the petmate water fountain doesn't sit correctly. It is also slightly louder than the original one, it has a hum.I only point these things out for anyone who is getting it as a replacement for the Pet Mate one like we did.It is very good value for money and the small plastic adapters mean it will fit almost anything you need it to. It arrived in good time, with good packaging.

Great value and works perfectly and quietly.
Brilliant little pump used to replace one in a water feature that has given up.This comes with 2 different tube fittings and the bigger one fitted perfectly. The variable suction control is great as well as it means we can get the flow just right. One small issue is the power cable is very short. I had to cut the plug off that came with it and solder on additional cable so it would stretch to where we needed it to. Took about 5 minutes and all sorted. It’s working perfectly and very little noise from it. Great.

Replacement
Needed to fix a dead short to earth in my fountain. To save time I bought the pump and installed it. The old connectors were a bit damp so I was unsure what was shorting-pump or conns.Installation as expected. The mains cable was too short to reach a socket but plenty long enough to go under the fountain's bowl to the mains supply.Set at maximum speed it was barely pumping until I rotated the pump, to clear an air lock. The the flow was adequate but not jetting out. Perhaps if I had used the smaller choke it would have gone higher. It was fine for my fountain and did not spray water on to the surroundings.Ironically the old pump was OK.

Small but effective. It does the job!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Made a water feature for the garden during lockdown. Pump cheap and cheerful and does the job! Need to top up the water if it hasn't been used but that's not an issie with the overall function and effect. Very pleased with end result!
