very effective, a convenient size, it HELPS as it is supposed to.
I have just started to experience tendonitis in one arm, I used to have a severe case in the other arm, so I know what it is. It is on the outsie - classic "tennis elbow".I mentioned it to my GP while seeing him about something else and he checked and confirmed what I have and he recommended I try an epycondilitis clasp in the first instance.I have used different styles in the past, but I was attracted by this one as it seemed easy to use, not obtrusive and had a clear "pressure" area. Some designs merely restrict circulation rather then reducing stress on the inflamed tendon. As expected, it has helped a lot. Been wearing it during the day for about 4 weeks.Reading some otf the other reviews there are clearly some misunderstandings and unrealistic expectations about what this (or similar devices) will do.It successfully grips the forearm muscles below the elbow and reduces the stress on the tendon that anchors the muscle to the bone. It stops you stressing the tendon constantly in everyday tasks. It reduces the immediate pain and discomfort that I felt.It is NOT going to cure tendonitis or allow you to continue high stress activities with immunity. You need to let the tendon REST to recover from the inflammation.I found it easy to position it and to gauge how tight I needed it - to reduce the stress and movement on the tendon without stopping all blood circulation through the forearm. It has helped me a lot.

Very Helpful
I play neither tennis nor golf but have tendonitis in my right arm from a combination of swimming, throwing a ball for the dog (those ball-throwers are great but they do strain your arm) and mouse-clicking. I wear this strap during flare-ups and it reduces the pain significantly; it also helps me carry on working at the computer for longer periods of time.I agree with other reviewers that some basic instructions for use would be helpful as it took a while to work out how to place the pad for optimum relief. The item is well made and will hopefully last a long time; I wouldn't use it in the swimming pool though because I think that would kill it off pretty quickly.I would recommend this star to anyone suffering from similar symptom - whatever the cause. better than taking pain-killers.

Yep, it works - but you need to make sure it's fitted properly and the Internet is your friend here.
I have 'tennis elbow' which has got bad enough to make me look at ways of easing the pain. Resting is not an option, sadly, as I'm self-employed and use a mouse/keyboard much of the day. Ice packs help. A vertical mouse helps. But the pain remains and my GP suggested I try a compression band. So here I am, and the Bracoo seems to have the best overall reviews while not being the cheapest option. The most important thing with one of these is fitting it properly, and that's not immediately obvious as the 'instructions' are about as useful as a chocolate teapot. As is often the case, the Internet is your friend. A quick search for how to fit a tennis elbow band soon found a video by a physio that details exactly how to fit it, and test that it's working. The latter, testing before and after, is vital. If the pain of, say, lifting a kettle, isn't eased after you've fitted the strap then it's not in the right place. It took a bit of trial and error on my part, but I now have it in the right place for me and it does work. Basically you locate the pain by doing something that triggers it, then experiment with the strap anywhere from 4cm to 10cm down and the 'pad' on the pinky finger side of the arm. When fitted correctly it doesn't rub on the inside bend of the elbow, nor does it cut into the arm (if it does it's too tight, so loosen it off a little).Does it get rid of the pain completely? No.Does it reduce the pain and make using the arm more manageable? You betcha. How long it will last remains to be seen, but it certainly feels well made and there is no evidence of shoddy stitching just waiting to fall apart for example. The elasticity of the strap is good, and the velcro fastener long and strong. I reckon paying the extra for a good quality item here will, hopefully, pay off in not having to replace it after a month.

Support for golfer’s elbow.
I use this support to ease the discomfort on the elbow joint when playing golf or using secateurs in the garden. It appears to help with the joint pain if the foam pad is placed right on the point of inflammation of the elbow joint. It is quite a bulky strap and doesn’t fit well under a tight sleeve but will stay in place over a couple of thin layers. It’s definitely not a cure for tendonitis but certainly helps to support the joint and greatly ease the inflammatory discomfort during physical activities.
