Strong!
I'm a student and only have a small room so having the candle burn for too long makes my eyes water! However in a larger room at home its a lovely scent that fills the whole house 😊

Good enough
The presentation/packaging of the candle is exquisite, an ornament in itself, ornate and tasteful. The candle scent is there, but don’t try too hard to catch it, it’s subtle and pervades the room over time. Given how expensive scented candles can be, this purchase is good enough and more on top.

Lovely coffee table addition
Great candle and is a nice addition to a small coffee table. The scent is not over powering and it could almost use a bit more to it. Good burning time and no mess from the wax/burn off.

Smells good although not sure there's coffee?
I bought this for the first time as I love the scent of coffee. It's there, but then it's overpowered by the other items that so into this candle, which is a shame as I won't be buying another one just for that reason.Yes, the lid is difficult to remove as it's a very snug fit even after removing it on several occasions. I almost gave up having opened up the box on delivery and I couldn't get in straight away. But I'd read the reviews and persisted. I didnt use any tools as I didn't want to dent the tin itself. The knack is to apply pressure at Two opposite ends of the rim (yes press together). Seems counter intuitive, but you should hear a metallic ping. Keep repeating this and you should hopefully see the tin and top starting to separate. Eventually you should be able to pop the lid off.The candle does last a long time and I'm hardly half way though having had 4 or 5 2hr burns.

Black Coffee is an abomination
Expecation: That incredible smell when you open a bag of coffee beans, or at the very least, the aroma that lingers in the air when coffee is made (I'd even settle for instant).Reality: Some sickly overly sweet smell lingering in the air, with a hint of an artificial flavoured boiled coffee sweet. There is nothing "black coffee" about this. It's actually offensive to my senses; smells so cheap, artificial and just awful. The tin is good! The lid wasn't a task to get off (some have struggled in the reviews)- it is tight however. It would be good to store trinkets etc. after use (if you can stomach using all the candle up).The first burn wasn't great. I trimmed the Wick as advised (6mm), and the melted wax didn't level off (tunneled). After 5 hours (yes I suffered for this long) I took matters in my own hands and scraped the sides and brought it to the middle to melt. Leaving it level. For what it's worth, those 5 hours used up about 5mm of wax, out of about 55mm. So I guess the candle would last between 40 and 50 hours.Bottom line, if you want the smell of coffee, this isn't the one, move on. Don't do this to yourself.
