This is a beautiful book, that was originally bought for my 14 year old. He absolutely loves it. The pages have a thick/old paper charm. Which makes it more enchanting and magical. The first three pages are all about the slytherin house, The amazing characteristics of being under this house and what makes you unique and special. Which makes it a lovely part of a limited edition collection. I have since gone on to buy the other books in this collection as a gift under the different houses for my other son, nieces and nephews.Which they love as much. I will add a photo if I can sneak the book out of my sons bedroom.. He tries to hide it from his brother to keep the house and the notes within the book sacred and special. As his brother has a book under a different house. He has the hufflepuff book from the same collection. He is 19 and although he loves the book it doesnt have the same magical quality that my 14 year old has given to his book. My youngest treats his slytherin book with such care as to him its his favourite and very best book. As an adult I think all books within this limited edition collection are beautiful. They have been written in a way that both children and adults alike will love. Like I say the pages feel think and old which add to the charm and character of the book. I also love that the edges of the book are coated in the house colours which match in beautifully to the front cover. I would definitely recommend these books to all

This is a great anniversary edition. The dust cover has a gorgeous green embossed Slytherin crest, as you can see on one of the photos (Would be great if it was also on the hard cover itself but, small quibble) There are some lovely illustrations of the Bloody Baron, Snape, and a map of the grounds of Hogwarts peppered throughout. The page edging is green and white rather than the house colours of green and silver, but I suppose it was just easier to leave the already white pages...white. It's barely noticeable to be honest, still looks very nice indeed. The spine has the title and author proudly emblazoned in green of course, with a nice snake emblem.Just a heads up, the book does contain spoilers in the extra content about Slytherin at the front and back.

Fantastic anniversary special edition. I love that the book has been released in four versions for each of the four houses and that they are also in house colours. The extra information at the front with information about the founders of each house and other information. I love it! Bought all four versions!

I'm a Ravenclaw, but I ordered all four house editions as a symbol of house unity. Also because they're pretty :). This Slytherin edition is very nicely presented, and contains some extra tidbits about Slytherin that are well worth reading. My only complaint is that most of the information in the section for "Famous Slytherin Alumni" and "Memorable Slytherin Students" sections is a re-hash of character info that's easily gleaned from reading the books themselves. Also, couldn't Slughorn have been included? He's a much more layered character than either Riddle or Bellatrix.That being said, there are plenty of positives:The House Ghost illustrations on the back covers of all four versions are a really nice touch,I love that each house version has the house colours visible on the fore edge when the book is closed, and also that each uses a different pattern. It would have been easy for the publishers to just use stripes in the house colours with the same spacing for each. The different spacing on each house version makes it look classier and more interesting as a set.My book did come with two annoying "20 years" stickers on the dust jacket, but I was able to remove them without too much difficulty. Some very delicately applied white spirit took care of the residue (plus a careful sponging to get rid of the white spirit itself). I fervently wish for an end to this fad of putting crappy stickers on beautiful things!Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.(My four-star review applies to this specific edition btw. The novel itself gets five stars).

Absolutely perfect! Was realeased today and it arrived today too! I'm a proud Slytherin and have been for the past 6 or so years! (Ever since I did my first house quiz!) this book is a perfect collectible item, whether you want just your house or all 4! I'm thrilled to add this to my growing Harry Potter collection of books, merchandise and wands ☺️

Arrived with no damages which is important with books, a great addition

No issues with the book, did not leave any finger prints as people had posted before. The cover is a matte finish.

As I and my fiancé set off on this journey towards Hogwarts and back, we cherished each and every step taken by us. The excitement of meeting none other than the great Dumbledore along with feeling the goosebumps or the adrenaline rush running throughout my body while whispering " He Who Must Not Be Named " is irreplaceable. Hogwarts is a place which has already become very dear to me, where my personal emotions are invested through each and every line and in turn with every page. And I believe that no Potterhead is an exception to this. J. K. Rowling truly deserves a world of applaud and beyond from all of us readers. She created an imaginary fictitious place of escape (an imaginary Disneyland) for us away from our morbid everyday reality. Even though my fiancé and I have come to an end of the first part of the Hogwarts experience where Harry has to return to the Dursleys again for the end of the term vacation, there is no vacation yet for us Potterheads ... CHAMBER OF SECRETS is calling us ...
