I'll try to keep it short! About 10 years ago (in my late 60's, I was walking the west highland way (2nd time). Last day, weather very bad, about a mile or so from the finish I was done!!! I needed sugar! I had some somewhere under the waterproofs, but I knew if I stopped to look for it I wouldn't start again! I was that close to the edge! A mate saw I was struggling and I explained my problem. He immediately stuck a half tube of the walkers favourite in my hand. That was enough to see me over the line, and although it took a few pints of Guinness to really settle me down it was the pastilles that got me there!
